Hate to tell ya'll this, but the big ranch, Don Hermondos, owns that land where the horses are and every year he herds them up and sends a bunch off to Mexico to slaughter. otherwise there would be way too many horses out there, but thats NOT the answer.
@FotoHysteria Жыл бұрын
I was actually on the Sanchez Reservoir State Wildlife Area (SWA) not on private land. Does he own that?
@moomoo3031 Жыл бұрын
@@FotoHysteria not sure but he owns everything around it

I seen one at fort Sumner lake new Mexico last spring, an throughout to middle of summer. I'm pretty sure it was the same one, really rare for this area (I think) really cool though! I hope to see it again this year!

I really enjoyed your video and I appreciate you showing, in one segment, that there are several people watching as these wild animal hunt.

Thank you for watching. They were too close at times in my opinion. I was shooting at 900mm at times.

I guess they spend a lot of time looking for food

Anything that has anything to do with U.S. 395 or that is adjacent to U.S. 395 is always worth investigating. Lone Pine - Independence- Big Pine - Bishop - points north, that is such a fun area to explore.

climbed whitney mountaineer's route a couple weeks ago and had to walk down that road the same day due to snow and road closures. walking down that road after the climb was the worst stretch ever... Beautiful area though thanks for sharing :D

awesome I have been trying to catch these birds on video for years but they are so skittish...good job here with your video!
@FotoHysteria4 жыл бұрын
They are definitely a pain to catch. Like little rockets. This was at 600mm, shot in 4k so I could crop in and about 50 yards away. Beginners luck as he kept diving in the same spot over and over. Caught this on his last dive..lol

Excellent presentation : My type of video, no talking heads, no flash bang wallop effects or unnecessarily added glitches , no pointless speed ramping. Just quality footage and narration through out. This held me right to the end - Very-very few videos do that now. A class piece of work Michael - Well done . Best to You Ken - (Scenicfox)
