Is this stock or astro-moded camera? I read that its not good for astromodification as it may give some banding at certain ISO settings.
@DMsFunWithPhotography6 ай бұрын
@@Y.Shishani when I had this camera it was stock. No mods. Occasionally I used a CLS clip filter. Now, I use a Camon EOS RP but only for Canon lenses and not on the telescope. Sorry to hear Doug. The cloud was a bit frustrating for me too as I would of liked to do a complete timelapse. I thank God that the clouds parted enough to allow some imaging. I took 500 frames @ 18mp ROI to about 12mp each emage. That gave about 20 seconds for each burst to avoid cloud wiping out the image for stacking.

I use a CCTV system with motion detection. The cameras are low light, low noise. Makes it easier to search each night’s footage. My system are Dahua. Currently the best camera they have for low light is a dual lens model is the one on this link. Being dual lens it will need to be calibrated on first use, otherwise you will het double stars. You will need to log into its web gui to do this. www.dahuasecurity.com/au/products/All-Products/Network-Cameras/WizMind-Series/5-Series/Full-color/IPC-HDW5449H-ASE-D2

@DMsFunWithPhotography4 жыл бұрын
The Camon 750D will work fine for the Northern Lights as you don’t need high ISO to image them. However, I now have the Canon EOS RP which is the most affordable in the Full Frame Canon Range. Couple that with a 14mm f/2.8 Samyang RF lens and you are set.

@samirpoudel35354 жыл бұрын
what was the lens used? wanna buy one for me. 24-105 didnt work for moon
@DMsFunWithPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Samir Poudel for the moon use at least a sigma 70-300mm lens to do it cheaply or get a bird lens with higher magnification. But then you may need to track the moon with a motorised mount if the magnification is high. If that is the case attach the camera to a telescope with a motorised mount. I progressed through the years and got a 10” telescope and used ZWO ASI1600MC Cooled camera for most of my astro imaging. DSLR is a good start to learn about imaging that’s affordable then it’s up to the individual to step up to more serious imaging with a telescope.

Hi, are you satisfied with the canon 750d? As I can see your pictures are very good in some forums it is said that the 750d has a sensor problem ... that can be seen when editing strips .... So having just got a 750D, can i ask you how good this camera is for astro photography? Are you images grainy/noisy because of the camera, or was it down to lack of processing? Many thanks
@DMsFunWithPhotography5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason, Thanks for your question. I did find the Canon 750D a bit noisy but certainly not too bad for the price. Processing techniques have helped to smooth the image as my processing skills developed. I have since moved on to the new EOS RP mirrorless full frame camera. The 750D I would definitely recommend for anyone beginning their adventure into wide field photography. It did serve well on the back of a telescope. One piece of software you may like (that's free) is Sequator. It has some unique ability to get rid of noise by stacking wide field space (even with the ground in view) and stacking timelapse frames (extremely useful). If you had 500 frames it will stack the 1st frame with the 5 leading frames and make a single stacked frame. Then it will do the same with the second frame and so on until you have almost all the 500 frames recreated into cleaner frames. You then use a PiPP or equivallent to make an uncompressed avi file. the following links were done with ne EOS RP: facebook.com/david.marriott.165/videos/vb.100008153520869/2475027609445666/?type=2&video_source=user_video_tab facebook.com/dmfwp/videos/432537110753029/

Nice video keep doing! I have a question someone advise me to get canon M50 Is it good for astrophotography is it good DSLR ?
@DMsFunWithPhotography6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohamed. The mirrorless M50 is a compact camera ideal for touring and doing landscape photography. Not much is said for astrophotography. One thing to keep in mind is the useability of the product. What lenses are available? Does it have adapters for connecting to a telescope? Low noise... I have found that for usability and satisfying results, the Canon 5d MKIII performs very well for atrophotography. This may be out of price range for a lot of people. My happy medium was the Canon 750d :) I have since moved onto Astro imaging cameras like the ZWO ASI1600MC and have adapted it to be used with my Canon lenses. If you are starting out with Astrophotography then I still recommend the Canon 750d. Cheap, packed with features. Easy to use.

Nice M50 come withe lens 15-45 f(3.5-6.5) I hesitate between it and canon 750d because m50 has higher iso and 8 processor but I found all astrography in canon 750d not in m50....so your recommend helps me to be in safe side thank U

Paul Fensome trying to remember what was on the scope at the time. I had a t ring adaptor for the 750d and a 5x Barlow. I used lucky imaging for the moon and planets to obtain more detail. I tend to push the limit of what a scope can do. I currently have a 10” carbon fibre f/4 Newtonian and have to use 5x powermate to get a larger image. I would gladly go back to a Celestron, say a C11 or C14 as I am fixated on imaging Jupiter and it’s moons. astrob.in/406264/0/
@DMsFunWithPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Paul Fensome from memory I had the camera set to NTSC 60. So the frame rate would be 60 frames per second on video mode. Then I used a program called PiPP to convert the video into a ser file and to sort the best frames first. I then moved that file into Autostakkert for stacking. The video was originally 60 seconds long. So 60 seconds times 60 frames per second is 3600 frames for Autostakkert to process. The resulting final image was put into Registax for sharpening.

So are you still enjoying the cannon 750D? would you recommend getting it for videoing products?
@DMsFunWithPhotography7 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thanks for your question. I still have the 750D and use it for more for landscape photography. I also use it sometimes for wide field astrophotography. As far as video it's ok. Ideally you could get a 4k handy cam or full hd video camera that does better video in low light and has anti shake reduction.But if your main interest is Canon 750D for pictures and perhaps a bit of video it is a great economical choice. I have found it to be a trusty piece of hardware at a low price. I now use a cooled astro imaging camera for my telescope shots.. If you would like a bit more out a DSLR maybe the Canon 5D with full frame sensor would be ok. It's lower noise and a larger sensor. Most impressive astrophotography pictures ive seen has been done with a Canon 5D :)
@Binzaa7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice! 5D is a kind of too expensive for me as I don't have a job. A toss up between the 750D vs 70D which is a little out of my price range.
