I can see the marketing message. However, the background music seems overdone and causes distraction, to put it mildly.

Everything explained well. But idiots, was that affected accent necessary?
@DavidJones-ht4lp4 жыл бұрын
The main motive of the video was to give information about lighting conductors but not to teach English.If you understood what he said then why do you have to take worry about the accent?And btw,how good are you with the accent?People like you just want to find the mistakes out of the good things instead of appreciating the good work even if it is not needed at all.

The ESE's underwent laboratory tests unlike the air terminals. Moreover, there are more missed lightning using air terminals than ESE's.

very nice explanation. but I have some questions. what should be the safe distance between a any person and the conducting cable during lightening? and, is this device effective with a house having no concrete roof but simple corrugated tin-shed? will the inhabitants staying in such room remain safe during lightening?

I found this android app for electrical ground calculation called Instaground, has anyone here used it? Any feedback if it works and is accurate? This can come in handy for engineers and contractors. Here is the link to Instaground app: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.planoa.instaground&hl=en

I need to know whether these surge protection device (Type 1, 2 & 3) are just meant for a single surge incidence and need to be replaced after a single surge or whether these device gets reset automatically and can be reused after a surge incidence? Does the cartridge type SPDs are meant for a single surge incidence? If it can be reused (after auto reset), what could be the max life (number of such surge incidences) of such device? I am looking for a AC 4 pole (3p+N) SPD where Vmax = 275V (between line and neutral) and Vnormal = 255 V (between line and neutral) and the surge protection actuates if Volt between line and neutral is more than 275 V, but it shall continue to supply a voltage say abt 255 V. I am looking for a Type 1+2 and Type 3 SPD. which one is the best device. where in India can i buy these online?

Does one needs to connect the earthing of the building appliances to the earth of the lightning system? Please help.
@xyphobich6 жыл бұрын
Joey Njie you dont have to but you can do .
@flow57185 жыл бұрын
Look at it this way, if you don't connect it then the ground potential during lightning strike would be different between the down conductor earthing and building electrical earthing. This is the last thing you need as the difference in potential would create a current flowing between these points. Take this with a grain of salt, but I think you're better off when the down conductor earthing is tied to the electrical earthing as the whole system would bounce to the same potential thereby avoiding any adverse flow of current.

@@flow5718 But there's a chance of charge returning to the home appliances during lightning due to interconnectivity? 🤔
@flow57184 жыл бұрын
@@gokulakrishnan1377 If you mean the surge currents back-tracking its way into your home, this won't happen with an MOV based SPD as MOVs provide protection bi-directionally.
