Remember you can drain the fuel bowl before opening it

@@tr702 the bowl can be under pressure sometimes. Better safe than sorry. Don’t want blow diesel all over your wiring, turbo, valve covers, belts. The bowl has a yellow drain lever on the side which dumps fuel out of a line down near the passenger side of the radiator.

Yes gotta love the 7.3, keep an eye out for fuel in the valley though, those filter housings start leaking after 20+ years but the rebuild kit is cheap and the job is easy.
