"With nothing...". No they hire Nile Rogers and Pharell Williams so they don't need anything (joke). Did not except such a humble guy. Thought he would be a brawler.

There is a big difference. Daft punk did create music. Guetta remixed the music of others all his carrier.

As someone myself who has both produced my own records, and engineered tracks for other producers for about 18 years+, I have to weigh in on this. I question the connections part. It was vital back then, it was how the music used to get out there and sold, being in the right place helped, hence money was needed to get into the good clubs, events and places where PR, label management and DJ's were. Plus, there was a good balance needed of real, stable daytime work and producing music as well as paying for the hardware back in the day. Nonetheless, yes, it is very humbling when music producers use the equipment they have, keep it minimal i quantity and learn it all properly, and stick to what they know. Another thing to note is back then, clearance was nowhere near an issue like it is now to sample records! Hence buying lots of loops, kits and single hits now plus vsts cost a lot. Back then a drum machine or sample and some old second-hand records and you had many combinations for percussion. Sure there is the synthesis route. Hats off to daft Punk and Guetta though for their legacy. There are very few of their league now, they're the last of a great generation. There are not a lot of memorable tracks and innovative new styles around.

The studio is on the cloud. All is on the computer. VST's and a little mixer. And maybe in ghostproducer's house, like many others.

At first I got offended at his response to the studio, then he explained himself. Its the man behind the machine. Im not lazy, I am always depressed with zero motivation. I can learn to make stuff and I should. I will start again today to try to learn to make beats and to sample but I know that certain software is better for that, so to research it is.

I feel this Euclidean sequencer needs some evolution like some of the M4L ones. Allowing steps / density / division / speed etc per note. Never understand how Ableton can't just look at an M4L device and just better it, before adding it to the DAW officially

I saw Bjork live in the early 90s when I was like 13-14 before she hit. She was a groundbreaking musician, way ahead of her time. Was actually thinking about her recently and was wondering if she’ll come back into the public eye.
