ya bro, most people act as if it just CN fault at this point. they fail to realize that CBT1 is universally hated because of how bad rover being treated. like, CN complain and tell kuro to change the story just A BIT to make rover A BIT more respected but instead kuro change the whole thing and make rover the most unrealistic, beloved character all of sudden. if you use reddit, you will find out that CN also are supprised by the current story and think that CBT1 is better.

read this first my guy, from reddit, saying that it is CN fault is far from the truth: A native Chinese Player has summarized the issues with CBT1's story and how it compares to CBT2 story, which is what we got for global. The crux of the issue was pointless fetch quests + the constant disrespect even after Rover proves themselves many times over. You get a gun pointed to your head after saving yangyang and co from a monster that almost kills them, and then you get kill stealed by Lingyang who was called Awu in CBT 1, and everyone praises him, with him even going 'Why are you even here'. If you check the above link, most of the CN players complaints was that, and even with CBT 2, while they share similar sentiments that Kuro has maybe overcorrected, they all agree it is much better than CBT1. There's also the fact that the story was a common complaint from all the regions of CBT, including the West as well. Acting like its only CN cause of waifu stuff is just being duplicitous. There are times when CN does do that, but this isn't one of them.

It's the fact that eventhough the MC proved themselves as trustworthy, everyone still hates them for no reason. That's the reason why CBT1 is hated.

And in the Process made almost all the Characters Non Sellable.

Where we find he old story to be better and appeals to us, it doesn’t with the CN players since CN players are rather difficult to please. And if CN players like what you change in the game, the game would be good to go outside of China

You never know because you haven’t played the cbt 1 story From what i know the ending parts of the story was a disaster so they had no choice Also it seems like alot of the cutscenes are from companion quests so lets just wait for them to drop

@@heyykamla8999 You know they could've just kept some part of the story that felt like it could be perfect the way it is while fixing the imperfect parts of the story. Right? Tbh, the part where you engage with the Crownless for the first time was good. And the Story letting us know the fact that anyone could die at anytime and the Distrust of Chixia was the best thing I could've asked for. It could make Rover seem like more of a Game Changer if everyone almost dies fighting an Elite Boss while we're fighting them without a Struggle. It would amplify the reason why different factions are desperate to have us as their companion, or a pawn

@@etsuko4380 i think the side characters being dead part is being kept for the later story when something bigger and more fearsome appears If they just show the side characters to be weaklings and gets bodied instantly from the get go then they can't keep up with the hype later down the story

Nonsensical Feadbacks? Most of CN's feedbacks are valid. The characters still treat the MC like garbage even after providing themselves they can be trusted, it creates a situation where the player doesn't care about the characters because of that.

Hopefully they're able to make a complete 180 turn and start off a Story with ACTUAL Apocalypse next patch or a few patches later. Cuz if not, I'm going to blame it all on CN again

​@@AdamBlob Yeah, so many people can't decide between the old or the new story, when the answer may be a balance. Treat the rover with hostility upon meeting him, since he is someone unknown, but once they are saved, have more trust towards him, not the way that happened with Chixia, since, once the rover saved them, she pointed a fucking cannon in his face. It's something basic but I think it would have worked better.

@@Blue-Code Sticking to one's vision is crucial and it earns respect. Dark Souls didn't become a genre defining franchise by listening to casuals for fk sake. Hell even Genshin lowkey shows the middle finger to most feedback because miHoyo has their own vision for what the game is supposed to be. That’s why they succeeded in the gacha gaming industry. MC had to won that trust which actually he does chixia and baizhi was angry at us cuz her friend got hurt saving a random stranger its the most human like behavior dude but later on when chixia was in pinch in Qichi village MC helps her and she also apologizes for her mistakes, this is called character growth. in baizhi's case when she completes her investigation of spirit of gorges after crownless battle she comes to find out it was somehow manipulated fight which she puts out infront of Jiyan at Knell square and that MC had no involvement in crownless appearing out of nowhere after it was defeated 13 years ago. They were worried because of the fact that they had to fight this feaful enemy again which threatened Jinzhou once. this is called backstory which gives proper weight to every thing happening in the story. there's actual flow in the story. The PLOT IS BEING DRIVEN BY THE MC and HIS MOTIVES. HE IS NOT A MERE PLOT DEVICE. ..... what u are trying to say he needs to get his harem right from the start where every one is bootlickers of MC for no reason. he is prophesized to be the jesus messiah of Jinzhou for no fking reason because a literal magical being told some one in that person's fkin dream.... ever saw any character in the current story cut destroyed to pieces until no existence is remaining. there were proper flashbacks in CBT 1 which showed MC as the warrior of some past battle highlighting that he needs to do it again but doesn't know how? here in the launch version we got a fking look into future for one second into dreamless echo for what? why is she there? did current plot explained that? no She was just there for because PLOT NEEDS TO BE THERE. MC has to fight that dreamless BECAUSE THE PLOT NEEDS HIM TO FIGHT DREAMLESS. no because there's a goal or motivation. He is fighting someone else's war half asleep because a prophecy told the nation they will be saved by this complete stranger who has no memories? are u serious? The MC is mere plot device in this story whenever plot needs him to do anything he does it. but there's no explanation there is no backstory there is not character development. Ever wondered why the overlord bosses exist? nope they are just there for the sake of farming. What a joke. the CBT version gave them a background, lampylumen mydriad was connected to the feeding on the souls of deadpeople. Morning aix was connected to Yinlin. and the list goes on and on. dude u really need to play some games before make this of statement. WuWa is created/based wartime situation, so it automatically shifts the tone of the game to dark themes, The game did portray it perfectly in CBT 1 but people like u who want to be worshipped by pretty cute girls ruined it all. There is no hint struggle or actual will power of MC shown anywhere in the game. The characters speaks like robots programmed to stay in one tone forever.

Every character distrusts you and treats you like garbage *EVENTHOUGH THE MC HAS PROVEN HIMSELF MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE STORY!* it’s like if Naruto saves Konoha from Pain but everyone still treated him like garbage instead of trust and respect or if the Traveler saves Mondstat from Stormterror, but the KoF arrested them instead. I don't mind is a character doesn't trust Rover *AT THE START* , but don't expect me to care about the characters if they still don't trust the MC even though they proved themselves to be trustworthy.
