you happen to have any info on the "nippled fitting" into this lift pump? Am converting to AN6 fittings and really need this to replace all my horrible fuel lines and leaks. (on a horribly done customized conversion yet.... HAS to be my daily driver ASAP)
@SquarebodyTruckCamper27 күн бұрын
@@coachgeo I don’t have any technical drawing of the lift pump. But I’m pretty sure I re-plumbed the fuel lines to the lift pump with 5/16” fuel hose. What specific info are you looking for?
@coachgeo27 күн бұрын
@@SquarebodyTruckCamper am using 6an fuel feed line line so that makes it aprox 3/8 ID. This is for a Jeep TJ with OM617. Will be towed by hind a large NOT square body camper (LMTV) The Metric Inlet fitting into the lift pump with the hose nipple on it, is what I need to change in order to do this. ... goal is to swap out the fitting with something that has a 6an fitting I just need to know what the size and pitch of the Bosch? inlet fitting is so I can search for matching metric fitting with a 6an on it instead of hose nipple, to swap it out with. I might be forced into removing it.. cutting off nipple and drilling a hole and tapping it for something in an NPT size I can easily get an a 6AN fitting to mount into the NPT threaded female I made. Not having a drill press and never being able to cut/drill in a straight line LOL, makes me hesitant.

Can you just vent that breather hose to the bottom of the car instead of sending that vapor back through your intake?
@SquarebodyTruckCamper28 күн бұрын
@@zfunk9 you could. But if you did that, you would have a decent amount of smoke and oil spray spewing out at all times.
@zfunk928 күн бұрын
Isn’t that better for the car than sending all that back through the air intake system?
@SquarebodyTruckCamper27 күн бұрын
@@zfunk9 these engines can run on almost pure engine oil. The small amount of engine oil that gets sent thru the intake from blow by will not be an issue.

@@SquatchNomad your welcome. Also note that a large variable is the insulation used and size of camper you will be trying to cool with similar sized AC unit.
@SquatchNomad3 ай бұрын
@@SquarebodyTruckCamper Good heads up! I think your camper is slightly bigger than mine. We have a Fleetwood Angler meant for 8' bed, however fits in our 6.5' bed with tailgate down (to give you an idea). It has the fiberglass pink insulation. We are going to remove the tiny bathroom since the bottom tub is cracking and we never use it. I'm hoping to add a wall AC unit in that area.
@SquarebodyTruckCamper3 ай бұрын
@@SquatchNomad a 5000 btu ac unit should work fine for you. We live in Northeast PA so the biggest issue we have is humidity during the summer. So as long as that gets cut down a bit, it is comfortable. Another tip, angle the AC unit down more than in your house in case your camper is not perfectly level when you want to run the AC. This will prevent the condensation from running into the camper.

Interesting you have the old fan blade design. The turbo models all got 9 blade fans. Do you notice your car runs a little warm?
@SquarebodyTruckCamper3 ай бұрын
I never noticed the car running warm (it would run at about 90C)… but after owning the car about 1 year, I bypassed the mono valve and installed a gate valve. I open the gate valve in the winter to allow coolant to heater core and close it in the summer. Ever since I made that modification, whether the gate valve is opened or closed, the engine temp gauge runs at 95C normal operating temp and 105C pulling hills (climbing 1000 ft).
