Honestly you don’t need to whale to do this. I’m 3400 gs w 0 p2w, you also have to level skills aside from gear and for that you need to farm/pve to acquire the necessary materials to level skills. Gear can only take you so far if your skills are low level. Not to mention that pvp is very much skill based/matchups where you easily overcome the gear gap. Fully traited blue armor costs a fraction of similar purple gear and although you lose out on gear sets you can hyper gear out to 3200+ in a matter of a week or two and challenge the p2w players

this is just a prove of how stupid broken is the crossbow ... now go arena and get a 1v1 vs Greatsword/Crossbow to feel the real pain ... most broken weapons imo

They definitely do have options for counterplay. You just don't know how to play the game. I'll give you two examples right now: 1. Trinket (removes all CC except prone & is available to every class) 2. B L O C K I N G Actually I'll give three 3. D O D G I N G Wait no I'll give you one more 4. Melee evasion

@alexwakefield-pandorasthou6391 1. Ur dead in a prone which u cant trinket 2. U need to predict u cant react since the cc is instant 3. Same 4. U cant switch gear mid fight xd so either ur lucky and see in the future and acciddntly dodge the prone somehow or ur dead

@@taky1636 Trinket before the prone? The trip is not instant. The quickest prone combo is very easy to telegraph. Which is why I sometimes wait for the block after I shadowstrike (if the player isn't trash) then trip. Also wtf do you mean when you're talking about switching gear mid fight? Just build correctly. If melee's are that big of a deal for you, build melee evasion if your class allows it. You would probably benefit from equipping gs dagger and doing the combos yourself because you can counter gs dagger pretty easy. You just clearly don't know what to look for. I fight GS dagger players too & I block their cc, it's really not that hard. The "instant" trip you're talking about is probably shadowstrike > Ascending slash. If a gs dagger player teleports to your back, block.

I don’t see what’s so fun about this. You go into a fight with a build made for boss fights. While other people sit there with a pvp build just destroying people who are just trying to finish the boss. They need to change this mechanic.
