You should probably touch on reconnecting the positive terminal first before negative; it would take 5 extra seconds to state and is a pretty important step!

FYI to anyone reading... one step is missing. It is really important to reset the BMS when you install a new battery in these. It changes the charging strategy and monitoring. If you don't reset it, the system will still treat it as an old, weak battery and you won't get the maximum capacity/life out of the new one. It should also be noted that if you replace the battery with anything larger than the 96R rated @ 500-590CCA, then adjustments need to be made with Forscan in order to realize any higher capacity and be able to use it to it's fullest extent.

How do you reset the BMS?
@funkyzero Жыл бұрын
@@floydmcdonald3332 1. Acc ON / Engine OFF (Press Start Button w/ Key in Pocket) 2. Headlight Switch to ON (Not Auto) ---- You must do the next steps within 10 seconds----- 3. Flash High Beams 5x (pull back on the left steering wheel stock) 4. Push the brake pedal 3x (press to the floor and fully release) 5. Watch the battery light on the dash, it should flash twice

MRT hood shocks are WAY better. Totally out of the way of working in the engine bay. The Redline shocks are right in the way from working on the car from over the front fenders. You'll hate them when you need to reach over and work in the engine bay. AND......MRT shocks, no drilling holes anywhere.
