When I'm watching this video !it's! exhilarating like living an episode of Mac Giver and somehow I'd know just what, when, why, & HOW too do this & be licensed I CAN DO THIS! I don't want to be that unlicensed operator that guy who buys a transceiver ignorant of how these kinds of things are supposed to be utilized🤪 A N D just starts pushing 🤔 BUTTON'S 🤪 📞 ⚡⚡⚡ 📞hey d u u u d e it work's I'm better than that as a sole care assist for a non verbal 🛏️ bed confined major stroke surviving family member I have had too improvise on a budget & these cheap $ device ummm I'm not that technical but I'd needed to extend the range a little bit of the room monitors aka baby monitor and then the idea came to me of using an older monitor that didn't utilize that multi band switching ? technology that the monitors and portable home phone's do today that makes them so much securer than Yesterday's ten channel select or further back two channel manual select lol But not too loud cause that's the model I had to utilize.......📞🛏️ an it's near one watt......⚡ output along with tinkering...😉in - side the well to ?shunt for an external antenna lead out & above through ceiling to an affixed little array.....⚡ on top of my roof😂 it worked and with two of these radios mine tuned to the transmitters f ° next to🛏️my brother I could here almost his heartbeat and with the other unit also next to him🛏️⚡⚡ with the dual? band's I could both hear his frequency his area (he can speak lot's of gibberish he's in his mind speaking what he wants to say but it comes out gibberish due to severe speech apraxia dysphagia along with severe global aphasia receptive and expressive 😢 totally shattering all modalities of spoken language single words, sentences, conversations, all spoken output zippo gibberish So so on the cheap I improvise I actually for a while had to use two units on my person due to not Knowing exactly how to dial it in as to being able to....📞🛏️📞🤪📞 talk listening talk on my end simultaneously "I'm not phrasing it correctly ummm anyways and so it is......🫂I Just Love him too Piece's ❤ he's my Brother I'd Do anything I can think of to make his area as comfortable and peaceful as possible! It just disables it so you don’t accidentally transmit. That would be illegal in some cases. You can easily reverse that setting if needed.

Must be a proud dad. My daughter's first qsl was in 1997, and it was via CW, and she was 7 years old. Back in the days when there was such a thing called the novice license. I am grateful to this hobby. It gave me a lot of career opportunities. Mora, if I spelled it correctly. Learn all you can!
