Hello again! I’m relying on my relative pitch to play by ear things that sound good. I tried that exercise a couple of times, the one you told me to do, Brandon d’eon style dexterity lick. Need to do that more. Also alternate picking, I have a bad habit of only down picking.
@williamdistasio9358
@williamdistasio9358 9 ай бұрын
@PaoloTheMulti-Instrumentalist That's okay, just remember, go slow, to a metronome,low E string, fingers 1234, first finger, downstroke1st fret, second finger upstroke 2nd fret, third finger downstroke 3rd fret, pinky finger upstroke 4th fret , move to the 1st fret on the A string and repeat all the way down to the high E, then back up. Keep the alternate picking going to the metronome. You HAVE to do this exercise daily for a few weeks, and you'll really notice improvement! Keep it up, dude, I'm rooting for you!

Nice guitar playing man, a thing I should’ve learnt when I was a beginner from the very start is to learn to alternate pick, you can hit the notes so much more cleaner and faster, highly recommend brother, will make ur life easier in the future ❤❤. Anyways man, good shit, keep it up 😊

Thanks for your support! I’m not really a big jazz fan either, though I think jazz might have a big audience so I’m thinking about posting some more trumpet vids in the future. Also it helps expand my guitar playing away from the minor pentatonic scale

@williamdistasio9358 11 ай бұрын
@PaoloTheMulti-Instrumentalist sure but you can learn other scales besides the pentatonic. Don't forget, the internet is a wonderful gift. Look up "Bernth guitar exercises" in KZbin and thank me in a day, and you'll love me in a month if you follow his exercises. I promise.

Hey man, I'm on board for you, dude! Just remember that when people are leaving comments, whether they're nice or hateful, they are really just talking about themselves. So I guess I like myself, cuz I think you're all right. You're just a dude who's trying to learn guitar and start a channel. This would probably have taken off if it was the first couple of years of KZbin but you're going to have a hard time nowadays KZbin is just a business like anything else unfortunately now it wasn't when it started though. Keep on practicing, my friend! Fuck the haters! I'll sub you up.

Thanks man! I have also realized that, what people say to others is a projection of what they think of themselves. I’m not taking anything personal because he doesn’t know me he just wants to remind me I’m a bad guitarist. Further, they probably don’t even play guitar. I see from your picture that you do, you know what it’s like learning guitar and that’s why you respect the brotherhood. I’ll use the haters as motivation, throw them into the flames of creation and show them what’s up in the next coming years
@williamdistasio9358
@williamdistasio9358 11 ай бұрын
@PaoloTheMulti-Instrumentalist LOL, I really really love your enthusiasm, man! That's an awesome observation about projecting. Sounds like you've got a plan. Yeah, my thumbnail. Lol, yup, I too, fiddle on the guitar a bit. I certainly wish you all the best. Keep up the good work and attitude. Much respect. P.S. Practice from the low E to the high E starting on the 1st fret and do 1234 using each finger. Then, the A string 1234, then the D string 1234, etc.. then when you get to the high E string and finish 1234, go backward 4321, then the B string 4321, etc, until you arrive back to the low E position. Then, move up a fret and repeat. If you do this to a metronome as a routine, you'll develop the ability to utilize ALL of your fingers effortlessly. As you progress, practice using fingers l and 3 on the low E, 3 frets apart, keep those fingers on the strings, and don't lift them while placing fingers 2 and 4(ring and pinky) on the next string below, 3 frets apart and repeat that exercise up and down from low E to high E. I truly hope that you understand what I am trying to explain because if you can get those two exercises down and practice those two and metronome I promise promise promise you you will see huge advances in your playing and just a few weeks. It's hard work, and it's a lot of dedication but will give you massive gains in a short amount of time! If you need any more tips please feel free to reach out to me dude! I'm not a great guitarist but I'm not a horrible one and I have a lot of knowledge that I can pass on. Especially what not to do when learning! I spent a lot of time correcting mistakes I made on the guitar from when I was younger, so I know a little something!

And I really liked the guitar I was trying out, it felt easier to do the hammer-on’s. 0407 0508 section felt super easy. Obviously the 12-10-9 part was harder and maybe I shouldn’t have posted that part without practicing, so I guess I can thank you for feedback. Just don’t be a dick to some guy with 65 subscribers
