Thanks for the info on Chef Guru. We tried it and the food and staff were wonderful. It’s now our last full day and we will have to try Vegan World or Fala Fala.

Love hearing that! Chef Guru will always be our favorite. We also love Fala Fala so much. Double check their opening hours before you go though ;) I believe they only stay open on Friday evenings & close earlier the other days. Enjoy the rest of your Madeira trip 🌞

I have been living on the island of Madeira since 2001, and I am from Porto. I really enjoy watching videos of people who come to live on the island and hearing what they think. Your videos are very inspiring. I hope you enjoy living here. I like it a lot, but sometimes I feel a lack of freedom, mainly because I work here and can't always leave the island, and because leaving the island is still quite expensive. Even so, I usually manage to leave three times a year. Thank you and best wishes.

Wow, you've been living here for so long! We love Madeira. Especially the year long summer haha.. I understand what you're saying. It is indeed quite expensive to travel back and forth. Thanks for this. Recent permanent arrivals to Madeira - and we headed to Chef Guru after a particularly grueling day. Loved it, as did our Instagram famous dog Happy, who was told that he followed in the footsteps of Colby and Lara (StayClassy). We will try some of the others next - and perhaps we will run into you one day at Saturday’s Machico Farmers Market.

@@happyhippiezwe were excited to try it yesterday, when we found them on Happy Cow and checked their hours there and on Google Maps. Unfortunately we got there and a sign said they are closed for a week. Thanks so much for these recommendations. Hoping to try some delicious eats before we leave. We did have a vegan Pizza from Roma Pizzaria which was good (we were so hungry by then). Your pup is soooo adorable 🥰

We have stood in front of their door so many times after checking their socials and on Google, and yet they were closed in the end.. I haven't been to Roma Pizzeria, but thanks for sharing! Hello ! I have a question for dog lovers :D, We have a two french bulldogs and we are considering to move to Madeira, but we have been there last summer (without dogs just for a vacation) and we noticed there is lot of stray dogs and cats. Dont you have any problems with them? mainly Kobe :D. Thank you in advance.

Hello! That is so wonderful that you are considering moving to Madeira 🤩 We love this paradise. In our experience the stray dogs and cats aren't so much a disturbance. They might come and be curious and say hello to Kobe, but they usually walk away really fast too. Most of them aren't very impressed by seeing another dog. I do however feel very sad for many dogs that are neglected by their owners. On our walks we have come accustomed to them, but I do always double check to make sure the owners have their gates closed. Those kind of dogs are not very friendly as you'll come to see. We personally have taken care and fostered some stray and neglected dogs, and put out food and water for them as well. So no worries about the stray dogs 🐶 And the cats only come close when you give them food 🐈⬛ Hope that is helpful to you. There are many dog parks to go to and friendly dogs for them to play with. Good luck on your move!
