Yes you can record to SD card, no streaming. All of your camera controls are on your phone so you will need it regardless.

I love the mini with my GoPro 11. I have a lot of baseball parents come up to me and ask me what mount I'm using. I also have the magnetic mount for my phone, and that mount is amazing! Good mounts from fenceclip!

What to you recommend for lubrication? Balls in mine seem to bind a bit.

If anything is sticky, some lube will bring it back like new. We've used everything from light oil to grease and it all works well. The most important part to oil are the threads inside the Paddle Nut. Hit that bearing too!

I filmed this on a Hero5 with FOV set to linear. Put the camera app on your phone and you can make the adjustments from the stands while you watch. Test all the settings. Make changes between batters. Film two games and you will have it dialed in.

I'm shooting on a Hero9 at 1080/60fps. Just learned I need to turn off GPS & image stabilization & set it to "Tripod Mode" to save battery.

With my cameras - I've had luck just removing the internal battery and using external power packs. No realistic for all devices, but tends to work for a lot of situations.

What protects the Mevo camera from getting hit on cloth netting fences? It looks like the camera would get hurt if a foul ball hit the cloth net. I looked up your NetCam for Mevo on your website but did not see anything that would protect the camera.

There is risk in mounting a camera or cell phone to a fence or net. We take every precaution we can. By way of protection there is the metal of the netcam frame itself. There is a metal bumper that you can adjust in front of the camera, and finally we include a safety tether and bungies. All of this serves to to protect the camera. With the NetCam Frame + the Bumper + the Positioning Arm the Camera is behind a lot of metal. In the end the frame floats off the net on impact while the energy is absorbed, then floats back down. Thousands of people are using this setup. There are no known issues.

I lean toward 'Amazon Recommended' for batteries. Lately I have been buying Anker batteries. It works the same with Mevo.
