He fell from heaven in revelation symbolizing his place of authority. We know from Job satan has or had access to the throne rooom where he was an accuser of humans. Jesus came and took back power and authority for humans. But satan killed him and now wages war on his followers.

Satan is the smith stated in Isaiah 54. He refines us to make us suitable tools for Gods use. Like God says “I created light and darkness, I created the waster to destroy “ we are the dust of the earth and Satan was cursed to eat dust the rest of his days.

The serpent was a symbolic metaphor for Lucifer ("Light-bearer"), who was assigned the responsibility to EDUCATE God's brand-new children, Adam and Eve. The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil are in fact, metaphors for Adam and Eve. Lucifer represented the intellect of God. Gabriel represented the emotion of God, and Michael--the will. Isa. 14:12, Rev. 12:9 and Luke 10:17 "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." That's right, "Satan as lightning fall from Heaven." Lucifer was thrown to the Earth with one third of the angelic realm, and renamed Satan, because he could NOT retain the heavenly name of Lucifer. Adam was NOT a cherub, and there's ZERO biblical evidence for that assertion. He was the FIRST Son of God.
