The reference to the ISA 101 standard gave me a chuckle. So much of this is extremely contrary to ISA101. Colors and distraction everywhere. This could be much much cleaner.

Just read about this, too. Their vanadium battery technology was intended to go next AC units, hooked up to a solar panel, and enable Americans to be a little more electrically self-sufficient for a few decades. Licensing technology for our own capitalistic needs is one thing, but permanently transferring the license just so that they can sell us back our own final product is another.

The story about CERN is not entirely correct. It was ETM's PVSS that was selected. Since Siemens bought that and turned it into WinCC OA, they now say that WinCC OA was selected.....

Pushkar Singh Parihar Yes. You may want to check in with Siemens ETM regarding the long term viability of the iOS Operator app. They have been in the process of consolidating their UI options.

We are glad you got a kick out of it as much as we did! We are running doom in the standard WebViewer that is utilizing the js-dos DOSBox libraries. We used the UltraLight client to process all the data in the browser.

Are you able to write to the tags from a web host? So far I have only seen readability. Does the tags update automatically if their are changes on the PLC program? Can WInCC OA use OPC UA?

The answer to that is two-fold. If you are using the WinCC OA js web EWO available in V3.16 and later, it is super easy or you can write a web API to make the connection via a WinCC OA CTRL manager. Lastly, WinCC OA supports both OPC UA server and client and native MQTT.
