The story of OMSI really is quite tragic. Just imagine how good it could be today if the devs + publisher didn't have that fallout. Would undoubtly be one of the best simulators of all time. Even with the constant crashes, shitty graphics, poor framerates, etc. It still manages to be lightyears ahead of anything else in the bus sim genre.

Hi, ive tried to download the uk bus packs and some maps from omsiworld and ive done exactly as the tutorial said, ive dragged and dropped them into the omsi directory and it doesnt pop up in the spawn vehicle menu or the map menu, ive tried loading without buses and ive restarted it multiple times, ive also tried deleting the mods and redownloading and it still doesnt work, Can you help please? Would be really appreciated 👍

I don’t think the game itself is dying - there’s just not much going on for the game that is keeping people interested as well as it’s terrible optimization, which really makes the game feel hindered. Speaking on just the interest (especially here in the North American side of things), we don’t really have much going on when it comes to things outside what a few developers have made (some incomplete) in terms of models and maps - the only official made things (this is where Aerosoft comes into play) is the Chicago Downtown DLC along with the buses in this map, that being the New Flyer D40LF and DE60LF. Outside of this, everything else made by the developers we had (most notably are either no longer developing or now have their work kept private between themselves and others (won’t dive into detail with that one)), there really isn’t a whole lot we have like in other communities (especially on the European side of things) to keep the game interesting. I still enjoy the game from time to time but I’d say I’m slowly only getting bored of it because I wish the game offered more like the ability to do things that in other games (i.e. Bus Simulator) allows us to do like exit the bus to walk around and such or when playing the multiplayer version (I think it’s called Bus Company or something like that), make it feel more like an actual multiplayer like with seeing other players’ buses on the map as opposed to just a blip on the map - fun fact, you can walk around in the beginning before choosing which map to drive; perhaps take inspiration from that to be able to allow us to exit the driver cab and move around in and out the bus, lol. It’s just really the small things I feel the game lacks completely that overall would make it that much better aside what I mentioned previously with things lacked
