Many years ago I was a Red Cross volunteer. It was then that I learned about the 'slide sheet' and to this day - I'm now retired, I carry one in my car at all times. As they say, you just never know when it might be needed! Smashing video, so a big thank you for the 'refresher course'.

How about removing the slide sheet while the patient is sat? (In order to look at sitting balance for the first time after being bedbound for a long time)

Flat Slide sheets work by placing one slide sheet on top of another. Tubular Slide Sheets, by nature are already two layers, one on top of the other. The 2 layers of low friction (slippery) material then work together to reduce friction. Therefore when a patient is moved, one layer stays in contact with the patient whilst the other layer stays in contact with the bed / supporting surface.
