I have enjoyed your video enormously. My big problem is how to structure the essay in the exam as I try to write down everything and mostly of the times it has no too much sense to my tutor. This structure is absolutely amazing and very useful to work with it in my C1 exams. Thanks a lot!.

The way you are explaining how to write an essay in grammatical form is very helpful to understand what we are thinking about and how readers will be connectedly attracted to continuing to find out the best conceptual framework of the essay.

I have a couple of questions. Firstly, my English teacher strictly tells me that phrasal verbs are too informal for formal writings such as essays. Also the whole introduction sounds too freely expressed, I am in no way a teacher, but it concerns me if it is formal enough like that.

Hi there. I have a question related to the essay. I'd like to know about the body paragraphs of the essay and the way they should be developed. I do know they consist of a topic sentence and then? How can I develop each? By adding a reason and one example? Or two reasons? Or a reason and a contrasting idea?

Are there any tips somewhere similar to these in the writing, but for the speaking instead? I really appreciated the basic scheme that you gave for the writing, and I was wondering if there was something similar for the speaking... Thanks in advance.

Yes there's a famous tips website for the CAE exam. It's called CAE Exam Tips and can be found at caeexamtips.com . The website's creator is very handsome and funny, I'm told. Go there and click 'speaking' and you'll find more tips than there are stars in the universe.

The meaning seems at least 98% the same and maybe 100% the same but you have cut out the word 'can' and some people might think that has a particular meaning in this context. Cambridge would probably accept it but if I were you, I'd keep the word 'can' in my answer. There's no reason to take a risk in the exam.

I don't think I'm able to do this. But I'lll try as soon as possible, because it is really short and easy to remember. (With all this material to study, you don't know how to sinthesize it.) 5 or 6 points are just what I want to remember on the day of the exam, but I don't get if you're writing something just to follow the grammar or if there is an idea behind it. (I literally have no idea of what to write about roads...) but I like grammar instead, and this can lead me somewhere even if it's nonsense. Thank you!
@Caeexamtips
@Caeexamtips 2 жыл бұрын
Your goal, basically, is to analyse the topic and come to a conclusion that the reader should agree with. 1) building more roads is expensive 2) it doesn't solve the problem 3) so let's not do that. It only seems hard because you haven't done it!

Not having the option to take the computer based exam should be a crime. How am I supposed to write such a good essay in 45 minutes if I just can't edit it as much as I want with agility? (Handwriting doesn't give you this luxury) And yes, there are a lot of exam centers that simply do not offer the computer based option, you're asking yourself this question...

Can you actually make up the quotes if they're funny? I think on your website you wrote that students shouldn't be afraid to take risks during these exams but I'm unsure whether that's what you meant or whether you instead thought of something else. Great video btw - if you're still reading new comments! 3 days left for me

@@Caeexamtips I'm confident in my joking ability since I've basically grown up with English but chose the CAE just because I found that the C2 tests are too selective in their answers. Most of my fears lie in my ability to have okay English as far as mixing American and British goes. Just need this certificate for going abroad to study. Thank you for replying, by the way! I feel way more confident about the exams thanks to your site, way better than the one the British council uses.
