What happens to the speed meter that doesn't turn back. because you're driving backwards with your motorcycle
@MOTOWus21 сағат бұрын
Most newer bikes are digital so if the key is off the speedo is inop. So it will not change. The bike in the video is a 2005 and it digital. If you have a much older cable system you may need to just disconnect the cable.

I think you need some lights on that setup.
@MOTOWus23 күн бұрын
You could install some for extra visibility.
@samanderson774523 күн бұрын
@@MOTOWus I think you misunderstood what I said. If you're towing a vehicle or trailer it has to have its own set of working lights (tail, brake, and turn signals) that are visible from the side as well. If the motorcycle was on a trailer then the trailer would have to have the lights, not the bike, but since the bike in this case is being flat towed you have to have lights on it. It's kind of messed up that you guys supply this product that will get people ticketed. You all should make a set of tow lights that attach to the bike to make it fully compliant.
@ivan-hidalgo23 күн бұрын
@samanderson7745 I towed my motorcycle from California to Louisiana. And towed it during the night time for 4 nights and never had any problems. I believe since they can see the tail light, brake lights on your car and their headlights illuminate the motorcycle and the motorcycle has plenty of reflectors on it, I do not believe you will run into any problems. At least I didn't. Also this is not a trailer.
@samanderson774523 күн бұрын
@@ivan-hidalgo getting lucky does not equate to being legal. Anything being towed that has an axle and wheels on it has to have lights. My previous comment stands as the motorcycle would be the object being towed. The tail lights on your vehicle makes it worse for motorists behind to see the bike and it changes their depth perception, hence why the bike has to have lights. Period.

I love my MoTow. I first got a Black Widow ramp-style hitch carrier for hauling my 1993 Yamaha FJ1200 (not the lightest), and it was always a sketchy ride. Constantly fretting about bumps and stress on the hitch. I switched to the MoTow and never looked back. I installed a rear camera to watch the bike when I first used it, but nothing bad ever happened, it just stayed planted and stable no matter what I ran over. I've had no issues with weird front tire wear, or any wobbling problems. It has been absolutely the best solution for towing a bike. I really like the fact that I can still have access to the bed of the truck when the bike is loaded, and I never have to worry about needing help to load/unload. ALSO - it's nice to just toss it in the bed of the truck to have access to if I need to help someone with a bike, or buy one when I see one.

@irvingfallon5510 How wide is the wheel base of the tandem?
@irvingfallon55107 ай бұрын
Diameter of back tire is 19”. The width of the back tire is 2”. The distance of street contact between the front and back tire is 61”. It is a recumbent tandem and the pedals are forward from the front wheel (bike-e recumbent tandem), so the back wheel should logically be the point of attachment to the vehicle. Total bike weight is about 60 pounds, so no real need for screw jack tire lifting (although it would be neat). I would use a cordless drill for prime mover on screw jack if obtained. Thanks for providing your feedback and for taking my call so we can understand your situation. I am delighted to hear how much you value your MoTow Motorcycle Tow Hitch, especially since you travel a tremendous amount with your bike in tow. Based on your pictures, we believe the straps are being cut by the edge on the tire cradle plates. This is partly due to how tight you tighten your ratchets, but primarily because the plate edge has not been sufficiently rounded in this case. We are replacing your MoTow Tire Cradle plates so that doesn't happen again. I look forward to hearing good things as you hit the road again!
