You know, as I am getting older & older, no longer able to keep a job, sometimes my mind starts to wander (especially in the wee hours of the night & in the early morning when I feel weak, puny & frail) How will the rest of our lives play out & all that. But I quickly give those thoughts to Him, The Lord Yeshua, because I Know He holds my future and all I really have is today anyway because tomorrow is not promised. So, I seek Him daily, spend time with Him, sing Praises to Him, read His Word, Fellowship & Share. Thank You Nikita P.S., we missed you at Christafari's concert worship service May 2nd here in Kona. You brought a lot of high energy to the band, but it was a Great Night, and I am happy for your new married life & now you have a child if I understood you correctly. God Bless. Kirk from So. I was looking up your Island nation if Trinidad & Tobago to see where it is & watch some videos about it, showing local people at the beach, but also a big city. Very interesting, then a strange thing (just a bit really) I started hearing about Trinidad & Tobago in other places. That seems to happen a lot, so not that strange really kind of curious though. God Bless. If you ever come to Hawaii I would love to meet you. I wanted to meet the rest of Christafari band the night they played, but my wife was feeling bad by the end of the music & we had to leave. I did get to talk to Mark back at Tony Hondas & we exchange emails & Facebook chat. I am a musician as well and 30 yrs ago was in a Christian Reggae band. We played at the prison, Kay high school, weddings, in parks & pavilions here on B.I. But the couple that started the group moved to Maui. Their music was headed into a more Jazz feel too, while myself & the drummer liked playing roots reggae for the most part. Any how I play for the worship team at Kona Baptist but our pastor who plays amazing piano & keys is not into it. I gave him a bunch of Christafari CDs & he ended up giving them back to me. But at home I play our songs in Reggae style, helps me remember chord changes & lyrics

You are so spot on. As a young man I rebelled against the whole Macho thing that my uncles emulated. I wanted to be that gentle & quiet person. I didn't know yet, what was in me, my sin nature that would show me I wasn't by nature that way even though I wanted to be. But in Christ I am a gentle & quiet person. I used to be a bit insecure about my looks. I think young girls, women have a hard time with this especially if they come from a did functional family that has no relationship with God in Jesus

God has completely done a 180 in my life. It was a long process that taken me years to become who I am today at 71. When I first heard the Gospel I ran from God. My wife & I had gone to a church service in Denver Co. As we listened to the sermon the pastor gave, I felt God telling me to go forth to the alter call and I remember saying to God, "o/k, but we're going to Hawaii", like I could tell God what I'm going to do. We were going to Hawaii as a friend of mine from Co. was sending us one way tickets to Hilo. After a few months we ended up living in the jungle in Honaunau. There were lots of other hippies living in the surrounding area. Everyone was into eastern religions marijuana, mushrooms and really not doing well physically, people were getting staph and being paranoid from the helicopters busting people for growing weed. Some of these folks left the mountain and had become Christians joining The Fellowship of Christian Pilgrims. A man named Ken Smith had been called to come here from Cali. to preach the gospel to us hippies. So God was right there in Honaunau waiting for me. It was an up & down trip from then battling the flesh & having to deal with my responsibilities as a husband & father. I had so much junk that God was dealing with, so many bad habits like falling back repeatedly into alcohol, drug use & other sins. I finally came to end of my rope. Those things that I clung too were worthless, hurting me & my family. It came down to me falling on my knees asking God to forgive me be my Lord & Master. I have been clean for over 10 years now & I thank God everyday for saving me. Marijuana had been my God and I am delivered from that desire to get high all the time. I don't miss it. God Bless

Amen, our attitude is like a steering wheel, either towards sin or righteousness. We allow our hearts to be hardened when we allow bad attitudes to rule our thoughts. If we have the attitude of Christ, we will walk in Love!
