Can't tell you how happy I am to find your video again. 6 years ago, my Mom and I used this video to make 5 beautiful stockings for my family. It was (and continues to be) my one and only sewing project. My sweet Mama passed away in 2022 at the age of 92. Sewing those stockings together is one of my favorite Christmas memories with her. ❤ I am starting to learn to sew this year and maybe I'll make more stockings. 😊

I really like the way the bricks look in your quilt. Of course I lways appreciate a video too. Unfortunately and maybe this was on purpose, you don’t say an6 of the dimensions of any of the pieces in this quilt. I have to assume you want us to purchase a kit but for some people like myself,the cutting is part of the quilting process. All of this would have meant more to me if I could have used my own material that I am able to cut in the designated measurements for this quilt

Wait, your mum had the rows 1,2,3 with 1 closest to you, then when she took row 1 away, you reached for row 3 and said, " this is row 1"? Huh?

Newbie here....for the third quilt, the white and teal triangles...did you sews "V's" by rotating the quit or did you sew straight lines stopping in the middle? If that latter, do you tie your tail ends?

I love this tutorial. I am a visual person and it is such an easy pattern to follow when someone is actually doing it. Since the kits are sold out do you have the measurements for the pocket? I know the back part is 5 x 5 1/2 but what are the dimensions of the pocket itself? Thank you so much!

Great video. Thank you for all those ideas. When using decorative stitches, as you did on the last quilt you showed in this video with the wave stitch, do we need to use a regular foot? Or can a walking foot handle decorative stitches as well?
@christelgrimmer44782 жыл бұрын
I have used the walking foot and wave stitch together. If you use a walking foot matching your machine brand, the opening for the needle in the walking foot should match the biggest width of your stitches eg. 5mm width stitch machine with 5mm width walking foot, or 9mm with 9mm width walking foot.
