AH! Now I remember. The episode "Q2" from Voyager states that Kirk's five year mission did end on 2270, so the date would be correct.

There are debates as to when exactly TMP takes place, apparently. I like the 5 year mission to be 2265-2270 myself, which brings them home in 2270 as in my video. I've read any year in the early 2270s, but I like 2273 myself (if we did the year on screen, that's what I'm going to suggest after the credits roll).

Now, when the Enterprise is coming home, shouldn't it be a little earlier than 2270? V'Ger doesn't come into the picture until 2271, and the Enterprise has had about 18 months of refit, not to mention Kirk has been behind a desk for two and a half years, which should put the Enterprise returning to Space Dock a about 2268-69. Or is any dialogue involving Kirk's 2 1/2 years absence going to be deleted?

its good to see that your wife makes use of under appreciated weapons. if you are really good you can learn to toss trips at banshees and vehicles for an instant ko. also in the line up of under used weapons are the plasma rifle and smg, although not easily attained, their power can take down swords, shotguns, and even rockets if you catch them right or they are a noob in firing
