How often should the bit be replaced?
@cfsbindingsupplies
@cfsbindingsupplies 17 күн бұрын
This depends on your usage. If you use your drill frequently, it is advisable to sharpen your bits often. Check this video out; it details how to do that and what you will need. --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGSpY2CAo7WWfNE When you notice your bit not gliding through as smoothly, or there is more resistance, it is time to either sharpen or replace.

how do you avoid the chipboard from getting cut into the sheet right underneath? you can see this happening at the 6:25' mark, there's a bunch of chipboard on the top of the next pad where the glue is.

i have never taken the entire cylinder out to remove the bit. there's a hole right above the bit you can use that little metal rod to pop it out.

How often should one be using the lube wax sticks on a bit while drilling? Every full set drilled? Every 10? Every day? Week? Month?
@cfsproducts8436

We would suggest often - between every job run.

@@cfsproducts8436 I didn't expect such a quick reply! Thanks! We used our drill very infrequently until recently, now we have 400,00k sheets to put through it. I have been learning up on maintenance items, bit care, and proper setup to ensure everything works well through this process; but couldn't find anything out there about how often to use the wax sticks while drilling. Some places said literally every drill, some said every month. I just wanna make sure things work will consistently for my operators.

Sergio Vázquez writes to you. We want to ask for your support. We have a Stitchmaster Stapler, we press the pedal and it staples more than once, as if it were stuck, we already checked the scale and the problem is not there, we checked the mechanical system and the microswitch and they work normally, we tried with another pedal and it has the same problem, the stapler works more than once as if it were stuck. What could be the problem? Thank you very much for your comments

I know this is old, but hoping someone can help. Can you tell me what thickness of chipboard works best for notepads? There are thousands of options available online and i recently ordered some that turned out to be flimsy cardboard no thicker than cardstock. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

What about the open back screw posts? How are they used?
@cfsbindingsupplies
@cfsbindingsupplies 6 ай бұрын
Great idea! Stay tuned. The open-back posts work the same as the other posts, but the screw will pass beyond the post, as it is open-ended. Thus, the end of the screw will 'hang out' the end a little bit. Hope that helps.

what is the minimum margin edge of this?
@PostNetNC104
@PostNetNC104 Жыл бұрын
One recommendation. You could actually have that bottom tab much thinner and come to the same point as the ones above it, which would also cost less in manufacturing. End result would be that you have the top edge to lay on the top and the rest of the barbs penetrate the paper which would allow you to push it into the paper at a consistent angle (straight into the paper), separating into stack much easier.
