@@Griffin2448 Been racing Concord and as my IR goes up it gets way harder, meaning people that "really" know what they're doing are waxing my ass. I'm seeing people qualify mid 15's while I can barely pull off a 16.5. I follow and watch you and Kneebon and Justin just trying to figure stuff out. Last night the pole lapped the entire field in 5 or 6 laps.

No problem haha it was disappointing in the moment for sure but not a big deal. Not sure I was going to get away from that without damage like I originally thought anyway looking back at it. But had tons of fun before that with some great racing and that's what matters. Really fun season

Very late comment, obviously, as I am just now discovering this series, but I wanted to say this might be the single best iRacing race I have ever watched. It was like watching a real Winston Cup race, with the different pit strategies, seeing the way you blazed through the field after pitting for tires, seeing the fuel mileage strategy take the win. These are the best cars on iRacing, I think (even if I'm not yet skilled enough to drive them myself; I need a lot more practice), and seeing y'all run 43 of them with a (mostly) Winston Cup rule set really brings back the glory days of NASCAR. Also, nobody's really pointed it out yet, but given that you personally would probably have had the greatest benefit from shortening the caution at the end, I think you definitely made the right decision not to do it. It would have essentially been a conflict of interest. You didn't say that yourself, but I suspect you were thinking about that when you made that call. So while some people might have preferred the race not to end under caution, I think you made the right call. Besides, races ending under caution is just part of that old Winston Cup rule set (and it's a part I never had a problem with, personally. I feel like the introduction of GWC's was one of the early steps down the path of the "tricking up" the NASCAR rules that has made the sport feel less legitimate than it did back in the day. Not that *all* the rule changes were bad; I agree with you that wave-arounds and the Lucky Dog are good rules. Just not a fan of GWC's, playoffs, and stages.). I wish I was skilled enough to run with y'all. This series is definitely the closest thing to the NASCAR that I loved in its heyday. Maybe eventually I will be, if y'all are still doing something like this when I get there. It'd be fun.

Been in the same position as you where 1 & 2 just feel like an absolute send with grip and rotation for days but 3 & 4 its just more of a wrestle. I think its cos its a lot longer of a run so you gotta be more patient and gradual on bringing that throttle up. Running middle is best line from what I’ve looked online but if you get comparative speed and tyre saving from bottom then it’s fair game I say.

How do you not kill your front right in Arca? This has been my first season doing Oval and really struggling with the front right.

I have just started as well, so havent been doing it long but a few things I’ve learnt. If you are wrestling the car then you have taken a bad line and trying to force it into a tighter one and then you’re burning tyres. Dont quali pace during race, go at a constant slightly lower speed for long runs and accept it’ll get slower, dont force your car to keep up pace from lap 1. Be comfortable with lifting a bit more, dont throttle through corners all the time and stick to the line you have created even if it is not optimal cos forcing it tighter will cause tyre wear and slower pace in the long run. One thing that you should do no matter the type of racing is turn all other sounds down a little bit apart from tyre noise, then bring your pc volume back up. This will allow you to audibly judge tyre wear and not just rely on force feedback of a wheel to judge that. Learnt that last one from Max Verstappen 😅 and it applies unbelievably well to oval racing
