Thomas Dolby should have won Producer of the Year for this album

Simply perfectly arranged and performed. As simple and as complex as it is.

Gosh - I just watched it again. Total and utter crap direction. And 4 guitar players at the very back - what the heck was THAT about? Most of the time Paddy has no idea which camera is live and then we get the feedback at the very end and Paddy trying to say something. Any lip readers out there? I presume the record company talked Paddy into this and I really get the impression he did NOT want to be there so put in the minimum effort.

An incredibly good record. Paddy's songwriting and vocal, Wendy backing vocal, Martin guitar, Keyboard and drums. The musical composition PF employed is quite unique in the 20th century!

Such a giant talent. Why did he do this? He looks as uncomfortable as, I’d guess, he feels.

This is a fantastic performance. I want to note in particular the drummer, because he did not intrude on the song, but provided great support for the beat in a gentle way, which is exactly what this song needs.

such a classic masterpiece mind blowing, I never understood why Prefab was underrated , these guys deserved more back then , now they are a Cult Band , it is a shame because Paddy is sick and can not perform anymore .

One of the saddest songs I have ever heard in my life. And it is so true. maybe that's why it hurts more.

The pinnacle of sophisticated harmony and writing skill. Enough to propel Paddy & Co. toward the "monster" zone.

Shocklingly bad minining performance. I always felt Paddy looks like Macca here. The director here in the studio was rubbish. Crap camera angles. Pathetic. Is that Wendy on background mic.

Summer 1980something. Heart broken went off to work at a girl's camp for the summer. Wore out Steve McQueen ( Two Wheels Good here in the USA). Most incredible stuff, it ages so nice

Paddy's vocals really lend himself to this track. You can see why "The Gunman..." is one of my favourite all-time albums. For any KZbinrs who haven't yet checked it out, check out this link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn-pnWmIq5eAm9U - The second best ever Prefab Sprout album after From Langley Park to Memphis (and with apologies to lovers of Steve McQueen!).
