Man, totally amateurish way to present a video with the annoying lambs (or whatever) sounding off in the background throughout, which were far too distracting. You need to go inside your house and redo the soundtrack without all of that disturbance. I couldn’t even concentrate on what you were saying. And you were a pretty lousy narrator to boot. You totally need to clean this video up, tighten it up, and make it more laser focused on explaining what should be explained here without all the static. BORING!

In my yard and side of my house, poison ivy gets stronger and more aggressive every year. Vinegar and other weed killers only pisses off the poison ivy. Tried everything. The only thing that worked on it this year was straight kerosene on the leaves and spraying the base and around the stem heavily. It still fought for over two months, but finally succumbed. I expect next year it will be planning world domination and even find a way to break Earth's gravity and spread to the rest of the Galaxy.

Yes this works. I have been using Acetic Acid (vinegar) for 30 years to zap unwanted vegetation. I don't like to do a hit and miss job on poison ivy or any other plant. I spend the money and get 20% or 30% vinegar, which ever is the best price at the moment. Spray the plants once and they are done. Store vinegar is usually 3% to 5%. Don't dilute it further by adding water or you will have to spray again like this did. I figure he had to spray many more ties and never completely wiped out the ivy. Just sayin'. Peace Out

What brand of extractor is that? I've never seen a hand-crank extractor with a clutch. Seems like that would save a lot of energy? Also, since it has the clutch, have you ever tried hooking it up to a drill-driver with a socket instead of hand cranking at all?

I've tried vinegar many times over the years. It will blister about 40% of the leaves but never once has it killed even a single vine. I soaked them with 1:10 ammonia to water the last 2 days. We'll see what happens. Also, the oil has a very similar viscosity to regular general use grease, like what is used on vehicles/tractors. If you think about how tough that is to scrub off your skin that will give you a good idea what you have to do to get the poison oil off your skin.

Using basic grocery store 5% acidity Vinegar is not as effective as hardware store 45% acidity vinegar. Also adding a teaspoon or so of Dawn dish soap helps the vinegar to stick to the leaves better.

After a “kill” the rats seem to avoid my trap…I usually move it and that sometimes works…I recommend a variety of different traps…the classic rat spring traps mixed w the new A24 and switching things around improves the yield. Bottom line is don’t underestimate the wariness of wild rats….born survivors!

I've used in the past this stuff that you only have to spray on the plant itself and it travels down throughout the vine, roots and runners and kills the whole plant. It's been quite a few years since we've had a PI infection. I can't remember what it was called. I did purchase it at HD.

Actually, peach branches naturally fold over from the weight of the peaches. In this particular case, however, I wanted to make sure that the branch did not break. As time goes on, the branches get thicker and get stronger and can hold more peaches/more weight. No... they did not get brown spots.

He’s worried about just the poison ivy when he also has poison oak right next to it and I’m sure I saw poison sumac in the video too. If you get poison ivy on your skin. You can wash it off with dawn dish soap and super hot tap water will work awesomely as long as you can stand the heat. If you have poison ivy, oak and sumac in your yard. Pot of Boiling hot water on the root stem going into the ground will kill the plant. 🌱

We DO plant them during the spring in order to harvest the seeds for the winter. We grow the sprouts in the greenhouse, so that we can feed the livestock sustainably when nothing else is growing in the snow.

I see you ran a separate wire to a grounding rod and a neutral to the cage; but since the 3 prong wire has a ground is running a separate wire to a grounding rod necessary? Can you just run a neutral wire from the ground node to one of the mesh components and a hot wire to the other mesh component? I'm struggling with either needing the ground wire through the box as opposed to either relying on the house ground or running a grounding wire from the mesh plate directly to a ground rod and bypassing the box all together. Great idea/video and I'd appreciate your response.

We have been dealing with an Invasion of Rats, like you wouldn't believe! I believe because of the Tremendous amount of construction going on in every direction around the place where we rent. All the construction herds the rats inward to my chicken and duck pen, where also I have food for the animals. I have used Many traps, all kinds of fancy traps, in fact I bought the local Walmart out of traps one summer; So did other people. But I got tired of spending a lot for all those traps and I turned to a type of poison called: Ramik rat poison. Available at IFA Farm stores. It comes in little marble size pellets and is supposed to smell like fish to rats. I only use it where the chickens and ducks Cannot get to it! And when I poor some of these pellets down Rat holes, Sparingly, a week later I get lots of dead rats to dispose of. I dispose of the rats quickly so none of my ducks and chickens have any time to take an interest in them. As of the end of March in 2024 I have killed about 30 rats that I have been able to find. That's 30 rats per month! I am sure there are Many more down in dens underground that I will probably never find. Ramik works pretty well and saves me from buying Cases and cases of rat traps! Also many rats just ignore the traps or are too fast for the traps. I am Not interested in catching the Rats. I want to kill them all if I can! Total Annihilation of the rat population saves me on feed for the animals, and the endless tunnels that they dig everywhere which look bad and are a nuance. Steve Nelson North Ogden, Utah

You must have a wire go to ground from the green terminal block so that the fence charger will work. Since the negative in the trap was insulated because it was glued to Hardy Board, I used the second wire wrapped around the grounding rod next to the trap.
