If my taxes pay for the team, I should get to watch the games on my local TV station, not have to subscribe to another service just to watch them.

All indications are that they will be renovating the Delta Center to fit both hockey and basketball.

Their GM is great, and they started a rebuild 3 years ago and traded a lot of their players for high draft picks.

The NHL officially considers the Utah team to be an expansion franchise and not a relocated one. They have given Arizona a chance to build a brand new arena for the Coyotes with a deadline of 2029.

All of the assets previously owned by the Coyotes are now property of the Salt Lake City team. Just like if you sell your home, all of the belongings attached to the property are included in the sale with the home.

Interesting dynamic for sure. On one hand you have diehard fans that I hope get to see the return of their franchise, but at the same time if they were so diehard then why couldn't they get a vote to pass in Tempe? Thanks for watching!

@@ndestructible129 Hey man I see a lot of people asking why the Tempe vote didn't go through if there were a lot of die-hard fans. I lived in Tempe during the vote. Our ownership group barely took any time or effort in marketing the vote. I am a diehard Coyotes fan and went to about 30 home games that season during the vote. And even I did not know what day the vote was I had to search for a while to find out. There was also a huge movement telling people to vote for the no side. They said it would raise taxes and they made it sound like it would be a really bad thing for Tempe. Those ads went viral on social media and on every single corner in Tempe there was a sign saying vote No or your taxes will be raised. I saw barely any signs representing the Yes side around Tempe. We never heard a word from our ownership. They barely talked about it and did not communicate well with the fans who did actually want to vote and did actually want the arena. If you look at the statistics of the ages of voters who actually went out and voted, about 70-80% were over the age of 65 years old. It was people who were old and thought they would be paying all these extra taxes even though the arena actually was going to be fully privately funded and one of the best sports arena deals in history. Very unfortunate and a major L. Simply because our ownership has no idea what it means to be a part of a community and they are cheap bastards who did not want to spend any money on marketing. I hope this can explain things a little better. Just hate seeing comments like that because this is not the fans fault!!!! Look at our ownership history since the beginning of their time here in AZ!
