It the theme song to a 1970s film called Midnight Express. Based upon a true story of American in a Turkish prison for drug smuggling. See it. Very good.

THANK YOU for posting ;-) I was at 2 of the" original" ;^) Greek Theater shows here in Hollywood last Nov. can't believe its almost a year now as I've been watching this tour weekly through all these awesome videos. They were fantastic! as good or better than I imagined after watching EVERY YT video of them I could find some from as far back as 2015?!! I watched & waited almost 2 years to see their live show after discovering them at the start of lockdown 2020,.. I'm obsessing on their adaptation of new songs into their classics medley through the tour. Seeing what Mark's doing with some of these classic R&B & Hip Hop melodies keeps me checking in weekly to see how they have changed it up, what's new and to relive again those awesome shows last year. A month or so ago one of my fav. YT guitar channels #RhettSchull did a cool video on the band and Mark's playing and style... THAT was awesome to see, someone I respect, appreciate and enjoy, recognize and acknowledge the musical magic happening here... Genius of Love (Tom Tom Club). Tom Tom Club was founded by two members of the Talking Heads. Tina Weymouth is the bassist and is, IMO, the most legendary of female bassists. See my comment above for the whole breakdown.

I've been working on this myself (tracking for a recording I made). The first 10 seconds of the first melody weren't captured here, so it's actually a bit longer but this is the best I've got so far. The last few minutes they basically split Summer Madness into two parts with some Tina Turner in between. So, I'm not sure if this was a cover of the whole song with an interlude or just two melodies in three parts. YMMV. Also, I realize that some of these melodies in hip-hop/rap songs are often sampled from another artist. I haven't always made that distinction. It’s so familiar, when I heard it live I thought it might be a reprise / embellishment of the melody featured in “Regulate” during the hip hop medley. This is one of my favorite parts of this encore, now when I listen to other renditions of their People Everywhere encores I feel like it’s missing!
