Think he meant " comparatively" , the best country in the world, and after what i've seen in my lifetime i'd have to agree. Maybe have a real look around the world and even you might come to the same conclusion - but i doubt it.

If you laugh, endorphins are released, and you feel great. With this Covid conspiracy , many of us have forgotten how to see the humor in everyday life. Or been seduced to look at the negative in everything. There will be a price to pay.

Mr. Player, my hero as a child and still a small person. One of the finest role models, in all respects, that a young person could aspire to. And in my opinion as a now older man - with the same height and weight as Mr. Player - he is the greatest golfer EVER "pound for pound" then anyone. He was almost 6" shorter than Nicklaus and 50+ pounds lighter. Size and strength are big factors in the sport - look at Woods, Johnson, DeChambeau, etc. etc. Thank you for all that you taught us decades ago and still to this day. A great read for golfers is Dr. M. Scott Peck whose seminal work "The Road Less Traveled" was followed later by "Golf and the Spirit." His opening and defining words was something like: "Many sports are metaphors for life. Golf is different. It IS life." He was serious and went on to explain that premise. The 2nd half of the book is either filler or I am not smart enough to appreciate it's possible brilliance. Dr. Peck was an elite amateur tennis player but accumulated related injuries and ailments. He was encouraged somewhat to take up golf because it would not exacerbate his ailments and might help them. As a competitive athlete he was challenged by our most wonderful game and examines the psychology and more of the game. It is so nice to see Mr. Player talking about golf and about life.
