as a lead guitar, this is the one I use when no lead guitar is needed and you need to create a wonderful atmosphera to the rest of the band

Nice playing. But I'm so happy with my tonewheel organ VSTIs. And my MIDi keyboard has so many more octaves, also full size keys.

I bought the same guitar as Eddie VanHalen, I can't play guitar but man that thing won't play Eruption for me at all. I did sound for years in clubs, I used to dual mic Leslie cabinets all the time, but it was only recently playing with B3 plugins that I finally understood everything involved with organs. Pretty incredible things and a living breathing instrument when played skillfully. I was so fortunate to have done sound for Jimmy McGriff in a few festivals and it was incredible to hear him play. A true master.

This...this is the BEST demo of any Reface Keyboards I have seen on all of KZbin. PERIOD. Holy smokes! I mean if you watch 99% of the "demos" of any of these incredible keyboards, you just feel like they're meant for some hideous "I'm gonna do random BS in my bed" kind of stuff...whereas they are actually professional-grade keyboards. Man you need millions of views on this. Persona tracks and then the Ghost busters theme...something extremely relatable, giving the feel of high-quality production all while explaining the technical capabilities of this keyboard (and basically of all Reface Keyboards). You are GOATed my man.

Amy Nolte's review of the reface cp is also well worth watching, very much from the viewpoint of the working pro. kzbin.info/www/bejne/noewXpStnJd7h80si=g3ttZECHQ4VbWWZO

Bought the other three Reface models, but not the YC -- mainly because I already had a dedicated drawbar clonewheel with a waterfall keybed, and it does everything the YC can do. However: it is also four times the size, weight and price of the YC, so (like all the Reface models) it really depends on the user's needs. Also (for whatever reason) the YC is routinely priced higher than the other three, and used models are scarce

But can it make a Korg M1 Organ2 sound? If not, then it's not worth the plastic to make it

I mean... the organ vst's you are displaying are kind of the worst ones. Waterfall B3 by UAD is the only one that actually sounds like a real organ. GS1's organ is like 90% there. But those from Arturia, IK Multimedia, Air Music Group, etc are really shitty. Well.. in my opinion.

Whutt!!??This thing sounds so fake it hurts! Only a person who never played the originals would say that this thing is any good. ...But I guess that's the world we're living in now, where porn is sex, almonds are milk and AI is "making art".

Where do you gig? Gay bars? What's with the fingerpaintings? Or maybe you think you're Count Dracula? Maybe you do...but I'm going with the former... it would also explain why you enjoy playing with...an organ like that.

Ambrose Kenny-Smith from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard used the YC for a little while. Take a look at Live in San Francisco '16 or Live at Levitation '16, or just listen to People-Vultures from Nonagon Infinity to hear it. This little organ is too powerful for its own good, I love it so much haha.

Loved this video. I've been singing praises of the keyboard since I got on back in 2018. As a live player who switches off on guitar, I use it standing up cradled in my left hand - sort of like an accordion without the bellows. I use the batteries and a wireless dongle for complete freedom of movement. It's become a big part of our stage presentation, people often remark on it. Try it!

Point about the poor sales pitch of the YC's demo. The CS was demoed by a synth player, the CP was demoed by a piano player, the DX was demoed by both, and if playing in bands and the like (especially theatre orchestras and bands) has taught me anything, it's that people don't know ANYTHING about organ unless they play organ specifically.

Insanely fun. There are a few moments that aren't quite right (a fair amount of noise during a voiceover, the rarely used phrase 'the elephant in the room' said a second time within only a few minutes, and not quite appropriately), but man, is this entertaining, stylish and well done.

This is indeed one of the best reviews of this fascinating instrument! I have a CS and a DX already, like them equally, but even though that should be enough for one life I always think: if ever the entire Reface line were discontinued all of a sudden, which ONE between the CP and the YC should I grab in a hurry? Of course piano sounds are somewhat ubiquitous and very melodic, but organ sounds are quite beautiful, warm, energetic, and rarer these days! P.S. Persona 5 - Tokyo Daylight was a superb intro, and what can I say about Ghostbusters!?

i didnt forget, that yam collection, especially the organ and the electric piano are real staples of quality, there are even guys convertingh them in nicer keyboards using adapted midi controler keyboards. i dont own one (i own 1957 a hammond m100, a P version lol), but if some time one day i happen to have the money f for the organ, conversion is the easyest as you wont need hammer touch or after touch or velocity, a nice 61 key fatar and you'r good, i could use that keyboard i have in that DX27S (yes the onbe with speakewrs, not so long ago you'de get them, for 50-70 bux, it's an dx100 with a kleybopard for grown ups)
