Hope you succeed. It is hard to make the jato go very fast. It takes at least a .21 engine with the right tuning and a good gearing. In this video my engine was not tuned perfect on the needles because of lack of knowledge. The car nowadays mostly collecting dust on the shelf. Thanks for watching 🙂.

Imagine being on a giant MTU powered luxury yacht like this only full sized and you sit down in the lounge area near the kitchen and the owner explains how he had some work done to the MTU engines and suddenly you open the door and as soon as you do that, the wind starts sucking you out and blowing stuff all over the place he takes a turn and you feel the massive vessel start skipping across the water like this overpowered RC yacht 😂 I’m sure you could make an insanely powerful for its size yacht like that but the results would not be comfortable or safe.. most days you’d be fine but literally wiping out at whatever exorbitant speed a machine like that would be going would look like an airline slammed into the ocean it would be in a million pieces and everyone would die

The lake wasn't rough at all. You have trim tabs on it I hope would be adjustable? Lower them bit by bit and the boat will handle the water better.

@rc-jatodaniel Жыл бұрын
I did not say in the video that the lake was rough. I have trim tabs on the boat and they are adjustable yes. They were not low enough but now they are more lower but the most difference is where you have the lipo battery placed inside the boat as well. In this video a year ago I had them too much in the rear but now I have them much more forward and now the boat goes just fine. Just remember, this boat has it´s limitations because it is not a racing boat.

There is one more thing you can do that I actually forget to mention in the video. It is about the differntial. You can put a very thick silicone diff oil in there, I use 500K. Just put little in there and also cover the outside housing of the diff with a piece of bicycle hose, around 20mm wide and around 18mm in diameter I think, you see it when you look. You want to have a little tight fit around the diff housing/cover with the hose because the hose helps keep the diff oil stay longer inside. Remember that even the original oil/grease is going to come out sooner or later because the diff has no internal O-rings so your diff is going to be empty after a while. The thicker diff oil also help the kart run more stable in higher speeds in my opinion. You can of course use the above tip for the other karts as well, Donkey, Bowser e.t.c. Try it at least. Thank you for watching.

@@momothemilkman Yes, you´re right. I use the 10x15x4 mm flanged ball bearings. You first have to increase the hole diameter to 15 mm and also use a flat screwdriver to brake off those small flat plastic pieces inside the hole of the axle housing. It is also good to use thick shims to minimize the gap between the bearings and the edge that touches the bearings. Good luck with your build and thanks for watching.

Hi. Your welcome :). Yes I bought it new 2003 from my local hobby shop. I had a older rc boat from around 1986-1987 by the name of "Viking" from ROBBE. In the summer 2003 I took home that boat from my father because I wanted to drive rc boat again after a long time driving/compete with rc cars. After some cleaning and equipment change I test drived the boat in the lake. That didn´t went well and I put that older boat in the junk yard. I hope you can get one Atlantio boat in good condition from the after market. Good luck and thanks so much for watching :) !

@@leovankampenhout2910 A big congrats to you getting one unbuild Atlantio! Wow, I thought that would be impossible concider it is a old boat and all after market versions would be built together already in different kind of shape. In that case you have a new one! I concider you one lucky guy and you wanted one Atlantio boat so it was meant to be you have that boat then 😀. If you do concider upgrade it to brushless I strongly suggest you upgrade the motor mount. Because the original will never hold that power. The original is just a soft aluminum plate that holds the motor with it´s weight in the air in an down angle. When I tried the original motor mount with my brushless motor, it started wiggle up and down when I encreased the speed, not good. It is not shown in the video off course but I epoxy glued a bigger hard aluminum motor stand for racing boats and I also bought a longer prop axel with drive dog system and I use a TFL CNC aluminum 38mm prop. I also use a 3S lipo and XT90 contacts on my 120 AMP ESC and batteri. I am very glad that my video/work is an inspiration for you. If you have any more detailed questions about the electronics or other details on my boat, don´t hesitate to ask and I will try to help you. @@rc-jatodaniel Thank you! When I send my first message 5 days ago, I was looking at the advertisement already but didn't make a bid yet. Instead, I was still finding out about the model and figuring out whether it was a good choice for me. Partly based on your video and experience, I decided it was. So no luck involved there, except maybe that the seller accepted my bid 🙂 Today I received the package with the Atlantio and unpacked it as soon as I could. I'm quite excited about it, now I have to start building. It seems the previous owner of the boat has already drilled some holes but they seem at the right location and right size. So far, so good. Do you Know how to open the controller ?
@rc-jatodaniel
@rc-jatodaniel Жыл бұрын
You mean the original controller? In that case yes. First you loosen the screw that holds the battery cover in place, then you have to use a smaller flat screw driver on those small black edges under the controller, 2 in the front, 2 in the back. Use the screw driver and bend a little, the 2 in front you bend forward, the 2 in back you bend backwards and at the same time use a another small flat screw driver and get in between the controller halfs to help it a little and do the same on all sides. It is a little stubborn but it can be done. I have done it a few times. Hope this info helps.

@@rc-jatodaniel I bought a used kart , a new battery lifepo but the car doesn't work. Only moves the front wheels and Mario with right stick. Left stick doesnt move back wheels. The controller makes a sound of a loose or broken part inside. I think the problem is the controller not the car.

But they did not tell/show exactly how to do it so I had to figure it out myself and see what had to be done to make it work. What you have to do or much depends on the equipment you want to use. I also did more upgrades then they did like ball bearing in the rear axle and air intakes for cooling the motor and esc e.t.c. Just remember that all the original electrics are gone and you put in your own esc,motor,servo and receiver. I had to in this new version of mario kart cut away some plastic material to make room for the esc and cables and I use hobbywing ezrun 60A. It was not realy easy because it was my first but it can be done. This was a long time ago I did this but if I remember correct, fill to the top and put the lid on but dont screw it tight but loosen a little and press up the shock shaft to get rid of the excess oil and then tight the lid. If it still is a little too much resistence to push the shaft all the way in, loosen again and carefully push up the shaft to get a tiny amount of excess oil out and tighten again. Hi friend. This is the equipment inside the cart, hobbywing ezrun max 10 esc, A smaller savöx servo SW-0250MG and hobbywing quickrun motor 2435 4500 kv. You have to cut away much plastic material to give room for the esc and esc cables. I even had to solder the esc cables in a down angle position on the contacts on the esc to save room to get the top lid on. If you can use a smaller esc maybe you dont have to cut as much. It is very narrow room for the esc and cables. The reciever, servo and motor was easy to make it work. Hope this info helps, otherwise write back to me. If I could email you pictures of the build?

@rc-jatodaniel
@rc-jatodaniel 5 жыл бұрын
No big deal, dont worry about the trucks, they just try to get around the track and the drivers are noobs and they are not use to drive around a small track with big trucks :). This was just practice/fun driving for show anyway. I have bought Team Associateds shocks for this car but have not been able to test the car yet with those because the indoor season is over under summer time. I t is a good kit but you have to work much on the rear of the car to get a good grip on the rear wheels but otherwise it is a steady and strong car and it is really fast around a track once you find the right set up that fits you and the car. I can advise you to get Schumachers blue o-rings for the original shocks because the original red o-rings can leak. Hope this was a help to you and thanks for commenting :) Good luck!

Hard to help without see the car and engine but check your radiotrim on ch2 so the throttle servo can get full speed to the engine, have the engine off and lift off the air filter and look so you can see if the carburator is fully open when you hit full throttle. If not, increase the "EPA" throttle setting until the servo pulls the carburator to fully opening. Also make sure that the throttle linkage is running smooth and is in a straight angle as much as possible. Do you have the correct pipe and manifold for that engine? Maybe you have turn the high speed needle too low or too high? Too high gearing? Hope this will help. Take care and thanks for watching :)
