Blatant lie! The atomic bomb wasn't tested until July 1945, and Jane Elliott knows that. Germany had surrendered in May and I am sure Mrs Elliott knows that. But as always she never lets the truth get in the way of a good story.

As much as I like her, she pulls unfounded bs out of her ass and will take a single book, with a single view point, and speak as if its fact. The atomic bombs weren't ready/built when Germany surrended. Germany was surrounded on all sides by multiple armies. The Japanese mainland was not surrounded, and not a single foreign army had touched Japanese shores. The US was virtually alone in fighting the Japanese and the land invasion hadn't even begun. Military planners only had one thing to go by, if the invasion of mainland Japan was anything like the Island campaign, 10's to 100's of thousands of US troops would be maimed or killed. To suggest racism is the root cause in the US dropping the bomb is absolute nonsense.

Columbus landed in America and demanded gold from the natives with the alternative being families sold to slavery and daughters (some very young) sold off as sex slaves. The Catholic Church, centuries later, seeing a bunch of Presidents with holidays but no Catholic boys honored in America with a holiday, chose Columbus because we already had a bunch of things named after him already (just not Cristoforo Colombo), and Cortes and Pizarro were too obviously Spanish (wrong kind of white). They just decided on a guy with a pre-existing white supremacist myth who was actually a greedy sadistic psychopath. Good job, Vatican.

"Justice then love" is also a very Christian outlook: You can't really accept the gospel without understanding the justice part of the story.

I've brought Garden Garden's lip balm but because of wrong addressing and the neighbor not turning it in to the right owner, I emailed Phil about it and he gave the collection of lip balms for a discount. I was really happy. I have brought other things from them and I have things on my wish list I'd like to get too, including their outfits. I have a Tea Tree shampoo bar on the way.
