Yes, typically that data is either entered in manually, or, the data was collected from some sort of data collection device and then organized into the proper table format for Strater. This could be done in something like Excel or directly in Strater via the New Table function. In addition to this video, it may be helpful to search the Strater Help (either online or within Strater by clicking the Home | Help | Contents command) for 'Creating and Editing a Line/Symbol Cross Section' to pull up a detailed explanation of creating a cross section like this. Then you can refer to the object by name in the Item method. You cannot select a map layer. However, you can still refer to it by name and use any Shape or Layer object methods/properties to edit it.
