@@Drewrides89 It's more than a race license. If you have an Expert race license, that's good for an automatic A bump, but not a a Novice race license. And be careful what you wish for. I'm one of the tougher coaches to get a bump from.

Moonlighting? Just kidding!😂 Serious question though. Is it me, or do you not drive as hard out of 2 as you do the other turns? Ever since the patch was put down, it was rainy my first time riding it and I lost traction and almost went down several times. Is this a mental block on my part or do you feel the same? BTW....we were there too. Our first time with precision. Felt like we were "cheating".😂
@palerider66112 ай бұрын
Good that you were out there. There was no one out in A so I really had some good laps to myself which I needed. Funny enough I was looking at the AIM data for the whole lap and comparing my best lap Saturday to my best ever. Going into 2 is the same until about the first third of the turn, the middle third I am a bit more conservative, but the last third is identical. Before the grinding of T2, one would lose the rear coming out of there if too hard on the gas. Once that bike is nearly vertical it is full gas until you let off for T3. All told, the difference is less than 0.1 sec on lap time there imo. But in the rain, it is vastly different. It can be very slick there. For me, I've been working on driving harder out of T4. I'm losing a bunch of time there.
@HangOnHangOff2 ай бұрын
Slow out of T2 is pretty normal, as you don't give full gas until you see a line out. I think the issue here is not the slow out, but slightly too early on the tip in, which made the line too narrow through the turn.
@HangOnHangOff2 ай бұрын
@@palerider6611 yea T4 is weird given the camber. I know I can go in faster, but the fear always prevents me from doing so. I was running 1:05.7 in May and was able to work on my right-hander and farm house that weekend and pushed it down to 1:05.1. Going to take a break from Tally and work on other tracks for a bit😁
@palerider66112 ай бұрын
@@HangOnHangOff Nice times. I was down to 1:05.4 earlier in the day. I just dont like the way the rear tire gets destroyed at that track. This session in the vid is after over one full day without a flip on the rear. The SportMax R7 held up pretty decent, but was certainly far from fresh at this point in the day.
@HangOnHangOff2 ай бұрын
@@palerider6611 yep, which is why I am taking a break from it. It is costing more than premium tracks for me if I count the cost of the tire at this point. However, still a great track for beginners on road tires that last forever.

@palerider66114 ай бұрын
If you get the line right past start-finish, it's not bad as long as you are not braking over the rumble on the left. However getting the line right is a bit of a challenge with all that black stuff down on the track. Going into T5/4 is more intimidating. Every time I'd let off the gas early only to realize I could have taken more speed going in there. The bump in T1 is far worse in this direction.

@HangOnHangOff4 ай бұрын
It's funny because I thought reverse would be a much slower pace. But my pace within 1 sec of the normal direct. mid 105 vs low 106. The only issue I have is if you hard trail braking into turn 5, your front jumps due to how shit the ground is and it is super easy to run wide.
@palerider66114 ай бұрын
@@HangOnHangOff I'm definitely slower in the opposite direction but chipping away at improvement. I've also found that it coming from T5/4 onto that short straight, it's easy (or terrifying) to run right up to the edge of the grass. I also find that the bump in T1 is much more pronounced in the reverse direction. That's another line I'm still trying to figure out.
@HangOnHangOff4 ай бұрын
@@palerider6611 Oh yea turn 1 is harder in reverse. I just try to turn in as late as possible and hang off as far as possible and let the bike shake. I found the turn in is harder than dealing with the shaking, due to how far you can push it. as for the T5/4, I throttle myself out to the edge of the grass (in theory) as I come out of the turn, I think that is the right way of doing it.

Great track guide Andy! I would double check that T4 carousel camber. When I walked it last it was positively cambered on the inside to less positively cambered on the outside. Still has the same feeling of pushing out wide when you cross the center on the bike but its not negative as far as I know. Rolled a bottle on it when I checked.

I checked the bike afterwards because I was sure I was going to see a fur tuft or a leg, but no sign of impact.
