What if I narrow down the sector/industry but then when i apply your template and 0 stocks show up? Could that mean that stocks in that area have a potentional to breakout but just havent yet? Would you recommend loosening the screener criteria to find ones that are close to showing up in your template screener?

Hey Kevin. Great question & thanks for watching. Generally I would not tweak the screener. We always strive to allocate capital to the stocks that meet our best criteria. If we tweak and move away from perfect we can still take the trade, but because the risk/reward is likely different, for me that simply means a little less capital on the initial entry with a plan to add if I get positive price action. I'd be lying if I said I never tweak the scans. As you gain more experience you'll know when there's hidden opportunity. Also, It's important to run scans from different angles. You'd be surprised how you might feel it's the same criteria, but swapping out a moving average for a percentage gain can give some nice alternative ideas.

I like how you warn people of the dangers of day trading. I stopped day trading and started swing trading and position trading instead. Ever since I stopped caring about my positions, I have made money. Every time I tried to anticipate what the stock was going to do or actively manage risk and reward ratios, I lost money in one way or another. So I only buy solid companies at levels I like and walk away.

People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Really useful video (as always). One of most important points is that you can be right in the trade but sometimes, it could be late; Average true move is a thing more important than it seems; a trade sometimes is obvious but could not be the right time. Pete I have question, the chart for es exposure by institutions in white , if we follow it, we would have missed the entire 2024 run, I think using NAAIM instead , much better, last week we closed niaam at 91 , 200 is very bullish, above 0 is bullish , under 0 -100,200 very bearish , naaim is the average exposure by market institutions and major hedge funds including GS, BlackRock,Ark, bkh ..etc point is, it gives very a accurate changes in the views which answered ( did it change) 2nd question ( is it still valid?) And finally where should we start to look for next week. Thx for your time

There’s two Canadian analysts you might want to check out. First guy is Ross Healy who does a weekly FANG Friday update. He’s been around for quite awhile and seems to have a pretty good understanding of how the markets will be going. The other guy is David Burrows. Much younger then Ross Healy but seems to be on the same page in regards to the markets direction over the next few years.

This video is fantastic! I wonder, being that it may be a little dated, if it still is an efficient way of searching for the right stocks. I have a small account under $1,000.00...way under..., but still have eeked out a few bucks since starting a month ago.
