This song is classic. Unfortunately all of the music for young folks in 2024 drives irresponsible and low frequency mindsets. May the parents reading this share songs like this that inspire and speak of hope and perseverance. This generation needs it and us to be the standard bearers. God help our youth.

I always love seeing guys use the old arrangements specifically Sy Oliver’s. I always loved Sy Oliver’s arrangement to this tune. I think having him do that whole album which this song is included on the 1962 album (I remember Tommy) Sy took this song from a slow melancholy mood to a swingin’ masterpiece and Frank swung it and I mean swung it hard especially on some live recording of his concerts in Vegas. Nobody can ever swing like the chairman. Hats off to Steve though wonderful job!

What a most beautiful voice B.J. Thomas had and will always be remembered for. His voice and songs were the best in the 70s when I was a teenager and have not been forgotten ever. In fact I only bought B.J. Thomas All the Hits Ultimate Collection CD the other day and have not stopped playing it. It is something else and his voice was too. So sad that he is no longer with us what an absolute legend!
