Yeah unfortunately the way. We did have open weekends through the years. Was in the mercury as our club was ran by an older generation

@@georgewitheridge That's a shame, as your family did a really good job creating them. It would have been nice to see something like the signal box relocated to a public railway of museum or the like in memory of your Grandad(?). After all the years of joy that line gave, it's sad to think it will be forgotten.

Remember several visits when Don Witheridge was in control. Think he started it back in the 1970s. If you stayed in the bungalows you could bring your loco on holiday and run it on the railway. Shame it closed.

Sad to see another minature railway disappear, have ridden on the Hembsy Minature Railway several times, whilst also being a member of the now closed Ashmanhaugh Light Railway.
