I was online browsing/shopping for this same axe and KZbin sent me this video of your demo. “Big tech” watching my every move 🙄 I’ve got a 1998 peavey EVH with a hard tail and goin for one with the Floyd Rose. The sound is so spot on to me. Great video!! I’m sold! Next time lead with clean tone and do your amazing solo with gain last😀 Cheers great demo

I use neural dsp for overdrive and clean sound, sound toys for reverb and delay. All sounds from plugins.

I'll come back to this video very lften just to listen to this fantastic choice of notes and chords amazingly played ;) I have the very same model (in a different color) and yes, the sound of this guitar is unique.

To my ears, the Silver Sky has a kind of warmth in all pickups and offers a rounder sound. Great for the vintage "strat tone". And the AZES has better articulation that cuts through the mix even at higher gain. It may be able to achieve a similar kind of warmth through the tone knob. A win on versatility. Both are fantastic in their own field. Thank you so much for the comparison video!

Based on Neck Clean....PRS seems to have more character, sweeter, fuller...less sterile.

I have a Spalted Maple Standard. It is a great guitar. The necks are incredible. And the pickups super versatile. I just fitted a Freeway 6-way switch to mine giving even more options (inner coils only, outer coils series and outer coils parallel). I would put this mod on any Wolfgang.

Have you ever tried to turn the focused switch on before tweaking your tone? Since the focused switch boost the low mid, I assume if you do that before tweaking tone, then when you turn off the focused switch it will sound more like single coil type of sound especially in position 2 & 4

Out of all the guitars you demoed, this one sounded the best to me. I was especially impressed with the clean tones. Didn't expect that. Seems like a very versatile guitar.

No middle pickup position in the DK24, the middle position is Bridge Single + Neck, the "Tele" sound

I still don't really get the point of the focus switch and position 2 and 4 hahaha. Seems more like gimmicks when most would probably prefer a coil split.

I have a Guild Starfire with coil split, and it loses a lot of volume when split. I don't like it or use it at all, but I use the 2 and 4 position and focus switch, if for no other reason than it's a unique tone.

I've had several Gibsons, including an SG. I'll choose the Gretsch Jets every time. More versatile tones and better (subjective) looking. And comparing a Gibson SG to an Electromatic Double Jet, the Gretsch wipes the floor with the Gibson value-wise. Gibson gets the resale nod, not sure why. But I buy guitars to play, not to sell them.
