Stupid design, 😐 sorry. And if you look at a VICTORY MOTOR the stator is mounted to the outside cover in the wind and a lot cooler.

Nice! I have a question, though... with all the wires dangling around, have you thought about polishing your fender and applying PPF so you don't scratch it?

That's a good question. I was just thinking about that the other day. I haven't rode with the tour pack since I did this but, I'll come up with a way to keep the wires off the paint. Maybe Velcro strips.

@@Ucmpigs Velcro strips would be OK, but might be an eyesore when the tour pack is off... I recommend getting a sheet of PPF and applying it. Just clay bar and polish first, and it'll look great IMO. On a shape like a fender, it shouldn't be too hard to cleanly install.

It does look great. It's really freshening up your bike. Two questions. 1. Is the license plate kit from Hogwerks? 2. Is the license plate installed upside-down? It appears that it should be below the tail light. As the tail light had a clear lens on the bottom to illuminate the plate. It's sure seems odd to me the way it is now.

Yes, it's their product. It's not upside down. The light is on the top of my brake light. There is a brake light with the light on the bottom. I may be replacing the entire rear fender soon so I'll let it ride for now

The docking hardware to remove the tour pack is super nice. It’s funny I put all the stuff to make my Street Glide into an Ultra. But the stripped down look of a Street Glide is so clean. Good video Sean!

I think there's a rubber gasket that comes with that Custom Dynamics light any chance that might help seal that up if you install it behind the tail light housing?

Yeah, there is a thin gasket behind the CD light. This gap is over 1/4 inch. It's like the metal is warped. I may be replacing the fender in the near future to an actual CVO extended fender.

Dude, I added the four point docking hardware to my bike a year and a half ago and it still hasn't turned into a Street Glide yet. 😂 This is a great option to take off the tour pack. 🤙

Yeah, it can become a mess under the seat. I was on the fence with this because I use the tour pack daily but, I really dig the look and feel of the bike now.

@@mjohnson6703 that's a good question. It's provides good circulation at speed but, it may be too hot for lower speed BDR environments. Also, it may be slightly heavy when compared to a "off road" helmet. But, heck, for $250 (sometimes cheaper) it could be worth a try.
