Thinkbuse the proper tool. They're called crimping pliers. There's a reason auto manufacturers don't solder. Crimp is the better connection on a vehicle with all the vibrations and whatnot. Solder joints Crack.

As usual, a great, informative video. I did exactly this as I was having issues with 1st and 3rd - 1 out of 20 or so times, 1st or 3nd gears seemed "blocked". After this alignment, "back to normal"....and yes, removing the center console is pain and tedious (especially the center harness which refused to come out) but was painting the center console anyways so worked out.

Couple of trees came down, but luckily not on the house. no Internet for about a week and a half, but cell carrier was cool and gave unlimited tethering. I like washer fluid bottles for doing a measured drain and fill. Assuming that all of the fluid is a gallon or less you just need a permanent marker to mark where the fluid was. Because of the way that fluid expands when warmer it won't be totally accurate as to the fluid level being the same but it should get it close. Just have some extra ready if it is needed to set the fluid level.

I find that having an empty jug or other stable container that does not tip over easily is great when you pump any oils into something. That is because the stuff still in the tube will drain out the first chance it gets and it could make a mess. Also with some peoples' horrible luck I can imagine it starting a siphon that empties the whole container on the floor! With a container for that hose end anything that comes out is saved and also still useable. Also when you take the pump off the bottle there will still be fluid in it. Put the end in a container and turn the pump upside down and you will see oil that was trapped by the check valve drain out.

Hey, fellow 957 owner from NZ. I was wondering if I can send you a photo of the rear of my engine on the top of the transmission, as I have a build up of oil?? I have a rough idle on cold starts, but my most recent scan (using Foxwell NT710) showed no fault codes. I'm working through your videos. Will clean the MAF sensor and throttle body this weekend. let me know if its cool to send you a pic and how. Cheers!

You can use the button to raise the lid, and once the lid is raised, manually lift the top and that should give you access. Careful please when holding the button, might suggest pulsing it, and checking that the push rods that are now detached don’t get stuck on anything and cause damage

It’s slightly different for me for some reason. 987.2z Mine does the slow blink after releasing the button. This is what I had to do to get it to work with my Genie garage door - Clear the old code, press and release the program button, aim the remote at the car and wait for the fog lights to blink, get into the car and press the same program button again and it does the fast blinking this time, press the learn button on garage door, get back into the car and press the same program button one more time.
