Question... When you removed that footpad is there an access hole under it or just the screw holes? Get some marine grade buoyancy foam, not that Great Stuff in a can, and fill in the bottom.

Dude. there is a 120 acre pond across from the St John's Town Center, on the other side of I-295. I have caught several over 8 pounds and 1 12lb from the bank.

I used metal pipe this way the noodle it tight and will not roll as it would not plastic pipe.if your using plastic please glue the noodles to the plastic pipe

It's not. 24" and a 1/4 inch longer than my 8 lb 5 oz caught earlier in month but it's the same weight

They can but I've never caught a smallmouth this big. Generally largemouth get bigger especially these FL strain
