When life is critical you don't have time to run around looking for "hazel" and "ivy". Come on. I spent 3 hours one time in my backyard showing my son that it's impossible to start a fire like this without 1) injuring yourself, 2) keeping the spindle on the wood, 3) keeping the spindle under the cup, and 4) without passing out from total exhaustion. Even the survivor show stars who supposedly were ex special forces, have given up in damp conditions and just slept through the cold night.

Thos video sure skipped and didnt SHOW a lot of details lmao. This is basically only helpful if you already know how to do it. Like a guitar instructional video of a guy showing you how to play something really hard by playing it really fast himself and saying "alright, that's how you do it"
