Yeah, I got it like that too. I tried it today because i forgot my bt mouse. Gaming with a touchpad is such a horrible idea.

Yes they do. My nephew just got his in the mail and it's trackpad is crap. Flickers and cursor won't move while pressing keys on the keyboard.

I just got mine 4 days ago and it works fine, You just need check for the date the laptop was made in, My laptop was made in February 2013. Touchpad works fine, Only the left and right side of the touchpad goes a little down when pressed. But i think thats supposed to do that.

i have no idea, i think they made a series of crappy ones and then remade the old ones with the normal track pad, so i think it is a bit of a lottery. Thanks, it is a nice song :)

As far as i know dvd drive version had 8 gb ram, I really need the 16gb..

yes, you can. you can order eather the 2x gpu or the dvd tipe and buy the wanted sli yourself

That wasnt really what i ment, What i ment was. When i get the SLI y500 version. with two gpu's Am i able to get an optic drive seperate for that? To switch with my gpu when i need it for school

I'm sorry thought you were dutch, Anyways i need the SLI version for school for rendering and vmware and stuff. And for some gaming at home. However am i able to purchase an optic drive for that? I really need the 16gb RAM. Also im not sure if i should order it because of the touchpad problems. As for the battery thats understandable and not an problem i will be using the powercord as much as i can.

Hello, i am not dutch so I am not sure if I understood you correctly. I don't know if this is with all of the different modifications of the laptop, but i've read that both the sli and dvd versions had that problem. It is a pitty po send it back and wait, but i am happy with my laptop. The battery ofcourse could be better

Zit er over te denken om deze ook tekopen, De SLI versie en dan met een optic drive met usb ofzo voor school. Maar hebben alle verzende laptops hier last van? met die trackpad? Lijkt me niet zo fijn om hem gelijk al weer op te sturen voor reparatie.

It was covered by the original Lenovo warranty, the shop offered me to buy an extra "anti tank" warranty which covers every non-warranty problems (it was about 200e) but i decided just to stay with the one year warranty. If you will buy this outstanding laptop and get the broken touch-pad, send it immanently to repair, because i fell in love after a 2 day use of it and it was really hard not to have it by my side :D

Hi, Lenovo replaced the trackpad. I bought the laptop in The Netherlands shop Mediamarkt. I brought it there and they sended it to Lenovo repair centre in Germany
