I am so sorry about your mother, and I'm certain you made her proud. This may not be a good time for this, but fun fact! The meaning of the Bluecoats' phrase "Six words!" comes from 2010 when they got 3rd place in the world championships. This is when everyone got a tattoo of their motto "6 words" and those words are "You are not better than me!"

I know your mom is really proud of you and the happiest person ever for having you to fulfill your dream and, the fact that she said that seeing you happy doing what you like is what she loves the most is one of the most beautiful heart melting things I've ever seen. DCI is a special thing Ethan. My dad died right about when I was born, and he was the only other musician in my family. I would put his initials (KH) on my finals sticks both years i marched. So he could have the best seat in the house. I am really proud of you (even though I don't know you) and I am sure your mom would be the happiest person in the world. She has the best seat in the house. Cheers.
