wait, 47's other name was tobias reaper since the start of the franchise? didn't know that until now, i thought it was only in the recent hitman trilogy.

He uses Tobias Reaper only in the first game ! In the second game, he doesn't want to be call like that by another character. After that, he uses many other aliases, and always a different name from the previous one. I have no idea why he came back to Tobias Rieper, and why he never changed it, but that is a pretty cool easter egg !

It tried to do something that the hardware at the time was not capable of doing. This was probably the most expansive and unnecessarily complicated level in that game. The concept was onto something but it simply falls short.

I had given up in Colombia. Can someone explain how Hitman, while simply carrying out his normal assasinations, learn it was Otto who made him and why does he decide to kill him? Why does he even care actually?

47 finds letters on his targets, which show that he is bound to them. When 47 has eliminated all targets, he is called in for one last contract at Otto Ort-Meyer. Otto Ort-Meyer wants to recover 47 and erase his memory (as he has done in the past). Except that 47 does not let it go! Do not hesitate to take a look on the channel, there are all the videos of the first Hitman if you are interested

@@kulsevdasi There is no contract on Ort-Meyer directly! Otto Ort-Meyer called The Agency & 47 for one last contract to kill the last person to know the truth, Dr Odon Kovacs (03:00 in the video). Then 47 understand that Ort-Meyer is at the origin of all this, thanks to Kovacs and Mr. Smith. At the same time, Ort-Meyer wants to take the opportunity to recover 47, and if that is not possible, kill him. So he calls the SWAT. But why does Ort-Meyer wants 47 back ? Ort-Meyer considers 47 as his son, and 47 is a clone that has feelings, unlike 17 and the 48s (which are kind of like killing machines). Moreover, 47 is the best clone (as see in the game), and he "trained" in real life, unlike the 48s who never made it out of the lab. WARNING SPOILER LAST HIMAN GAME In the last 3 games, we learned that Providence gives order to Ort-Meyer, and they may be involved in this desire to recover 47. I believe that Providence was not aware of the 48s, and that Ort-Meyer wanted to use it (and maybe 47) to double them. And since Providence is everywhere (and in The Agency), he needs to get 47 out of The Agency and recover him.

best not to think too hard about hitman plots, they're all really bad. its tradition! having said that, really shows how special these games are that they've made...what, 8? of them

@@Wasmachineman man come on. Being loyal and being robot totally different things. They are at stand by mode and being turned on 1 by 1. They don't even blink until their turn. They could have sit around Ortmayer and even pray to him. That would be less stupid.

This mission was fine. Though I was disappointed with the targets. Two random killers, a german doctor and a unconscious guy, who you can choose to kill on a black screen. Hitman 2 did a better job though they also exaggerated a lot of cliches and stereotypes.

"What good is a bullet proof vest, when death strikes from within...?" Looking back at this after seeing the conclusion of the World of Assassination trilogy, man, this is so epic. I love the parallel they suggest between Ortmeyer and Arthur Edwards. They could have had 1000 bullet proof vests and be guarded by the best assassins of the world, it would not have made a difference, death came from within, from their creative and scheming impulses. I really admire this narrative, in the end , Ortmeyer admitted he literally killed himself by creating 47. Epic.

IO Interactive logics: - You supposed to wear outfit, but you are unable to hide the body and there is no logical way to do that, although swat squad can't spot a dead body behind the table which barely covers anything - You supposed to escape Mei Ling and you logically wear your suit doing that (why would she talk to a security guard as a guest) and you also sneak quietly in the cutscenes, even though you can't do that without a shootout unless you wear a security guard suit... - You supposed to ask the bartender for the key so you can hide your gun, but you can do that in your suit before the meeting. The cop still tells you to ask the key from him which you obviously can't do - The dead dogs don't bother Boris, you must hide the human bodies only even if he walks through them - There is no legit way to get to the gates in a ninja suit because everybody runs and checks you, you must glitching the game or try your luck several times. Nevertheless the game still acts as playing as silent assassin is the 47's style when you are in the castle - You can't beat the tutorial level in a legit way only with hacking the system, but in the cutscene the newsagent holds an article claiming swing king is killed by a silent assassin. It should be impossible with the games basic rules not to mention the instructions you get

Even so, for its time, this game really was something. And for me, it told a story so visceral and had a atmosphere so captivating that it made me look away from all these imperfections and enjoy it fully.

@@mariagheata2133 So did I, but I spent so many hours to figure out how to get through a level with SA rating. How little I knew there is simply NO strategy for that, only bugs and luck. Like you can't even kill your clone without ruining your stats, although the game keeps suggesting that you should sneak and stay unnoticed. I enjoyed it too but I though I was the stupid one because I can't solve these issues :D

@@RPJCrash I admire your ambition, but for me enjoying this game fully was beyond getting the Silent Assassin rating. From Contracts on it's doable without having to wreck your brains playing it, some missions in Silent Assassin are also quite ok, but as far as C47 is concerned, I would not waste my time over it personally, especially when there's literally no reward for it like in the new games, besides satisfying your ambition of course. Still, it's impressive that you put so much effort in reaching that.

@@mariagheata2133 Actually I did all of them, I stopped the series at 5 where I only completed the first level and later I became a glitchrunner, because this gives a game a total different perspective and a very new community. You can build up complex and creative tactics to fool the AI and to hack the system by it's own rules.
