You've done such a beautiful job of putting these clips together, you've managed to focus on the women left behind alright. I was a spouse in the first Gulf War. I didn't want to go but I didn't want my husband to go without me so, I re-uped in the Reserves. I didn't get to go, I ended up pregnant, after 7 years of trying so, I guess it really wasn't meant to be. But I thought somehow together we'd be ok. Love is like that. He knew better than I did. His mom called me a rock because I refused to believe anything bad would happen to him. Then she accused me of not feeling because I was rock. I wasn't going to tell her any different. I just let her say want she wanted to me. She was worried and scared. So was I. It was my husband who actually taught me to listen fully and allow expression. He made it home, thank God, if God even belongs in war; it must make Him sad. He will never know.
