@@unbreakable.1234 Working great. We were one of the few neighborhoods that didn’t lose power during Hurricane Beryl. On occasion we lose power for a short time, but overall we tend to fare great.

@@kennyfoxy2444 this community does have an HOA. they put on tons of great community events every year, and the HOA fee also includes exclusive resident amenities like swimming pool, modern fitness center, dog parks, tennis courts, and miles of wooded trails and bike lanes.

Aesthetics is a big reason, since they try to minimize concrete and keep the neighborhood as wooded and natural looking as possible. I'm sure maintenance costs are another reason though ;) The bright side is that there are paved trails winding all throughout the neighborhood. Believe it or not, that was one of the biggest factors to us choosing this community. Makes pick up and drop off so easy, and the kids get social time with their friends as they walk to and from school :)
