Hello friend, a question, could you tell me what combination of microphones in Hz strings would be the driest sound of all? I have not yet decided to buy Hz strings, and I am worried about spending so much money so that later it will sound very wet or I will not like the sound. I would love to know your advice. Is it worth it if I want to compose hz type music?
@R0bstar-YT11 күн бұрын
I wouldn't buy this if you don't want the sound of the hall. I also wouldn't buy this if you only intend to use the spot mics (which still have the sound of the hall in them), that's just a poor value proposition IMO.
@es__music9 ай бұрын
why do you have 2 keyboards? lol
@meenashamaly9 ай бұрын
The one on the bottom’s got 88 weighted keys for playing piano more authentically, and the one on the top has 61 synth action keys for a lighter touch and playing non-piano stuff.
@es__music9 ай бұрын
Nice! I just got an MK3 61 and I also ordered an S88 to compare. I can only keep one though and it has to go on my desk, because I don't have an underneath tray big enough for a music keyboard. I do have a slide-out tray for my typing keyboard and I've been testing out 2 different scenarios like a crazy person. I can't decide - Keyboard and typing keyboard on top, although music keyboard is further from me, or music keyboard right at end of desk, and typing keyboard on it's tray underneath the desk as I'm then position much lower than my screens. I would not be able to play music if the music keyboard was underneath the desk because I like my elbows resting on my chair arms. Either way, I'm eager to see if the S88 will be too big to play. I'm all about comfort and ergonomics. I don't need to be stretching my arms in the air constantly to play the mod wheel haha@@meenashamaly

This method is great for sketching. Then split the lines into their dedicated articulations via keyswitch/different track after the line is composed. Some libraries pull this off better than others. OT sine player for example is great for this.. an example would be Junkie XL brass. The staccatissimo dynamic is velocity controlled, while the Marcato and Sustains are mod wheel. If the mod wheel is at 0, the long artics go to niente and all you get is your staccs. The sound is actually good enough like this to not need split, as you can just write mod-wheel info after the fact to completely remove the long note layers during stacc parts. And for those skilled wity their CC riding.. you can set up articulations as polymaps to switch or crossfade based on position of whatever CC os asigned. Can also be controlled by velocity which is good if you want access to 3 or 4 diff lengths of short notes where mod wheel is irrelevant to dynamics.

Hi Meena. What computer are you using running those Spitfire libraries and how many instances of Hans Zimmer Strings/Piano can you run in one session with a buffer size low enough so they are also playable? From this video it seems you are running a lot of instances and I'm really impressed how well your computer handles it.
@R0bstar-YT11 күн бұрын
Audio interface buffer size does not, in any way, affect MIDI input latency. This is an alarmingly common misconception.

@meenashamaly3 жыл бұрын
Hey Shubham! I actually selected both channels together (using the Shift key I believe - just working off the top og my head), that way you can play any selected channels together. Fairly sure you can do something similar in Ableton (but I don't use it, so I don't know the specific procedure). Hope this helps!
