Hi, How are you?I have seen your youtube channel <Viper Technology >. I notice that on a KZbin channel, you post running videos but you don't get the expected views. The reason behind this is your video is not SEO-friendly. you need SEO on your channel and every video and you will get tons of views By doing this your channel gets monetization. One more thing you should add to your videos is the right tags, channel tags, and keywords. Then people will find your video on KZbin. Your channel SEO score is too low. If you are interested I'm sending you a report about your channel

I'd like to know how long this coloring will last. Riding is very tough on leather and when you ride you tend to sweat. No rider would be happy to have the saddle "colored" to then get off the horse and see dye on there very expensive riding pants or see a saddle where the stirrups and the leg/knee make to most contact loosing its color so you start to see the color that was there originally.
@vipertechnology849
@vipertechnology849 Жыл бұрын
Hi Susanne! Sweat comes "from outside" and does not affect adhesion. If you protect the saddle with protection cream, it easily resists external contamination. I did a BIG survey and tests with horse care products last year and I was very surprised. Most of the products used in equestrian sports are outdated, took me back 50 years in time. Soap, fats, conditioners and more only creates a "vicious circle" where you wash away the finish and then grease the leather again, the procedure is circumstantial and against better knowledge of today's leather care process.

Why are there mostly only bridles and saddles in black and brown and not in different colors when dog and cat collars can be in different colors?
@vipertechnology849
@vipertechnology849 Жыл бұрын

@Kholoured

Most leather back in the day was either a brown or a black in color. The equestrian sports are very traditional and don't like to change much. Plus when you are showing you are at the mercy of what the judges like to see you in. Most judges for English disciplines will judge a rider more harshly in a saddle that is not brown to dark brown in color. Black is taboo and is generally not accepted in professional Hunter classes. In Jumpers any saddle is fine as you are not being judged by your appearance but for your performance. Dressage is black only, to ride in anything but black is also very taboo and you may be excused from the ring by the judge/s. So unfortunately the industry sticks with dark brown as the predominant color for jumper saddles which can be used in hunters or jumpers and for dressage saddles they are always black.

Well done! I appreciate the thorough prep. Here in the states we apply a solvent based plastic adhesion promoter before Polycyrl Plastic Primer. We also apply a 1k or 2k urethane automotive clear coat over the applied color, then add our Polycryl Plastic top coat. This process makes the color change permanent and will not scratch.

You can make a texture stamp to exactly replicate the existing leather texture. Choose an area of undamaged leather and apply a thin coat of vaseline/ petroleum jelly (this is the release agent). Take an old bottle top (the larger the better) and a hot glue gun. When the glue gun is hot, spread a thick layer of glue over the flat end of the bottle top then push down the top onto the prepared leather surface. Leave to cool then pull the bottle top off the leather. You now have a perfect replica of the leather texture. Use the bottle top to stamp the leather texture into the texture paste.

Only problem with that is when you get leather hot enough to use texture, the leather burns and shrinks. This is why a texture paste or spray is used.
