great bit of thrash of the 47 going to buckfasteigh picking up 4 of those west coast carriages they done up. RTT dosnot have the SDV so they just say it was going to totnes but shes passing it

Guess what, I was actually there at the Plym valley railway to see those sets. 43161 is not needed there so the owner is sending it for scrap in only 2 weeks. The buffet and the back end are going to be saved there to. I traveled from Eastbourne in just 4 and a half hours just to see these sets before they are gone forever 😢but great video. During your visit did you see a kid (me) wearing a lime green jacket because that’s me. 😁😁

Brilliant video, its just a shame. Old technology is being replaced by new technology i for one will miss the signal boxes and the mechanical signals , question is goonbarrow signal box on network rail hit list ?

Those railway track sleepers are hollow or solid? If solid thats alot of weight to balance and keep stabilised on a narrow track.

One of the first positive things in the south west for a while. They're far superior to a Voyager or IET. The borrowed Saphos Trains Mk 2 coach as a barrier vehicle is interesting

@@AndreiTupolev yeh time will tell but hopefully they’ll be reliable down this part of the world. Possibly moving a lot around at the moment and others in maintenance so they’re short on barrier coaches.

@@anthonywilson2651 its a Rail Head Treatment Train (RHTT) They spray high pressure water onto the rails clearing any leaves then apply a solution for better adhesion. They top and tail due to reversing reasons 😊
